As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this eleventh day of July,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
nine.

Pakuranga Highway District; and I further notify
that I do hereby appoint the nineteenth day of July,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine, at two
o'clock p.m., at the schoolhouse, Pakuranga, to be the
day, hour, and place for the first meeting of rate-
payers for the said district, and appoint Alfred
Buckland to be the Chairman of such meeting.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this eleventh day of July,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
nine.

Pakuranga Highway District constituted.
HERCULES ROBINSON, Governor.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by an Act of the Pro-
vince of Auckland intituled "The Highways Act,
1874," and by "The Abolition of Provinces Act,
1875," I, Hercules George Robert Robinson,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
hereby notify that I do hereby create that por-
tion of the Provincial District of Auckland de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto a new highway dis-
trict, under the said "Highways Act, 1874," by the
distinctive name of the Pakuranga Highway District,
and I declare that the boundaries of the said district
shall be those defined in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
BOUNDED towards the North-east by high-water mark
of Waitemata Harbour, from the northern extremity
of Allotment No. 56 of the Parish of Pakuranga to
Mellans Bay; towards the East by the centre of the
road leading from Mellans Bay aforesaid, and passing
through Section No. 10 of small lots near the Village
of Howick, and forming the southern boundary of
Allotment No. 10, and the south-eastern boundaries
of Allotments Nos. 22, 21, 20, and 18 of said Section
No. 10; thence by the centre of the same road con-
tinued, which also forms the eastern boundaries of
Sections Nos. 1 and 2 of small lots near the Village of
Howick aforesaid, and the eastern boundaries of
Allotments Nos. 12, 78, and 79 of the Parish of
Pakuranga aforesaid to the south-eastern angle of
last-named lot; towards the South by the road which
forms the southern boundary of Allotment No. 79
aforesaid, and also the southern boundary of Allot-
ment No. 20 of the Parish of Pakuranga before men-
tioned, from the south-eastern angle of Allotment
No. 79 aforesaid to the creek known as King's Creek,
which forms the eastern boundary of Allotment No.
26 of the Parish of Pakuranga aforesaid, and thence
by that creek and the Tamaki River to the Panmure
Bridge; and towards the West by the Tamaki
River aforesaid, from the Panmure Bridge to the
northern extremity of Allotment No. 56 first men-
tioned, the place of commencement.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this eleventh day of July,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-

ALL those lands bounded towards the North by the
sea; towards the East by the Maungamaungaroa
Creek, and a right line extending from the head of
that creek to the north-east angle of the East Tamaki
District; towards the South by the northern boun-
dary of the East Tamaki District; and towards the
West by the Pakuranga Highway District: except-
ing the Village of Howick; including all roads
traversing the lands within the before-mentioned
boundaries.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this eleventh day of July,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
nine.
