IN THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF NEW ZEALAND

In the matter of an intended Bill to give effect to
the alteration of the name of the Liverpool and
London Fire and Life Insurance Company to that
of the Liverpool, London, and Globe Insurance
Company, and to confer certain powers on the said
Company.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Liverpool,
London, and Globe Insurance Company intends
to present a petition to the General Assembly of
New Zealand, at its next session, praying for leave to
introduce a Bill to give effect in the Colony of New
Zealand to the alteration of the name of the Liver-
pool and London Fire and Life Insurance Company
to that of the Liverpool and London and Globe
Insurance Company, and to enable the Liverpool and
London and Globe Insurance Company to sue and be
sued in the name of such last-mentioned Company,
and to authorize the Company to make investments
in this colony in the names of Trustees whose names
shall be duly recorded, and to vest all such securities
and property of the Company in New Zealand in such
Trustees as provided by the said Bill.

And notice is hereby further given that copies of
the said intended Bill will be deposited in the office
of the Examiner of Standing Orders on the second
day of June next.

Dated this twenty-fourth day of April, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine.

NEW INDEPENDENT GOLD-MINING COMPANY.

I, the undersigned, hereby make application to
register the New Independent Gold-Mining
Company (Limited), as a Limited Company, under
the provisions of "The Mining Companies Act, 1872."

  1. The name of the Company is the New Independent Gold-
    Mining Company (Limited).
  2. The place of intended operations is the Gold-Mining
    Leases known as the Independent Leases, situate at Crushington,
    and adjoining the leases known respectively as the Wealth of
    Nations and the Energetic Gold-Mining Companies, in the
    County of Inangahua, Colony of New Zealand.
  3. The office of the Company is at Broadway, Reefton, in
    the County of Inangahua, in the Colony of New Zealand.
  4. The nominal capital of the Company is thirty thousand
    pounds, in thirty thousand shares of one pound each.
  5. The amount of paid-up capital is nil.
  6. The name of the Manager is Patrick Brennan.
  7. The names, and addresses, and occupations of the share-
    holders, and the number of shares held by each at this date,

M.R.C.S. Eng., L.S.A. Lond., hereby give
notice that I have this day, 5th May, given notice to
the Registrar of the Christchurch District that I
intend to make application on the 5th day of June,
1879 (not less than one month from date of notice),
to be registered under the New Zealand Medical Act,
and that I have this day deposited my certificate of
registration on Medical Register of United Kingdom
with the Registrar, in terms of said Act.
