on or towards the West-north-west by land com-
prised in the said grant, shown as a proposed exten-
sion of Cumberland Street; thence in a line running
in a west-north-westerly direction for a distance of
651 links: bounded on or towards the South-south-
west by land comprised in the said grant, now used
and shown as Rattray Street; thence again in a
line running in a north-north-easterly direction for
distance of 210 links: bounded on or towards the
West-north-west by Crawford Street; thence in a
line running in an east-north-easterly direction for a
distance of 1552 links: bounded on or towards the
North-north-west by High Street; thence in a line
running in a north-easterly direction for a distance of
3425 links: bounded on or towards the North-west
partly by land comprised in the said grant, shown as
a proposed new street, and partly by the Wharves
and Quays Reserve, shown as Block I.; thence again
in a line running in a north-north-easterly direction
for a distance of 630 links; thence again in a line
running in an east-north-easterly direction for a
distance of 500 links; thence in a line running in a
north-north-westerly direction for a distance of 150
links; thence again in a line running in an east-
north-easterly direction for a distance of 535 links;
thence again in a line running in an east-south-
easterly direction for a distance of 100 links; thence
again in a line running in an east-north-easterly
direction for a distance of 560 links; thence again
in a line running in an east-south-easterly direction
for a distance of 150 links; and thence again in
a line running in a north-north-easterly direction
to the point of commencement for a distance of 250
links, be all or any of the said linkages a little
more or less: and bounded on or towards the West-
north-west by the Wharves and Quays Reserve,
shown as Hanover Street and Block I.; on or
towards the North-north-west and South-south-west
by the Wharves and Quays Reserve, shown as
Block I.; on or towards the North-north-west by
the Wharves and Quays Reserve, shown as Frederick
Street, Block I., and Forth Street; and on or towards
the North-north-east, the North-north-west, the
North-north-east, and West-north-west by the
Wharves and Quays Reserve, shown as Block I., and
a proposed continuation of Harbour and Terrace
Streets: as the same, with the abuttals and boun-
daries thereof, is delineated on the plan marked M.D.
248, and deposited in the office of the Marine De-
partment, Wellington, and marked with a red colour.

Notice of Intention to construct a Road through
Lot 12, Parish of Pukekohe.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under
the provisions of "The Public Works Act,
1876," to execute a certain public work, to wit, the
construction of a road through Lot 12, Parish of
Pukekohe, Pukekohe East Highway District, in the
County of Manukau; and for the purposes of such
public work the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken; and notice is further given
that the plan of the said road, and of the land so
required to be taken, is deposited in the office
of the Station Master, Railway Station, Pukekohe,
Auckland, and is there open for inspection: And
notice is hereby given that all persons affected by the
execution of the said public work, or by the taking
of the said land, shall, if they have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work,
or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in
writing, and send such writing, within forty days
from the first publication of this notice, to the
Minister for Public Works, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land, being portion of Lot
12, situate in the Parish of Pukekohe, Pukekohe East
Highway District, Provincial District of Auckland,
containing by admeasurement 2 roods and 27 perches,
more or less. Bounded on the North by other por-
tion of Lot 12, 717 links; on the North-east by Lot
15, 102 links; on the South by other portion of Lot
12, 623 links; on the South-west by a road 156 links:
be the above measurements more or less. The same
