IN THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF NEW ZEALAND.
In the matter of an intended Bill to give effect to
the alteration of the name of the Liverpool and
London Fire and Life Insurance Company to that
of the Liverpool, London, and Globe Insurance
Company, and to confer certain powers on the said
Company.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Liverpool,
London, and Globe Insurance Company intends
to present a petition to the General Assembly of
New Zealand, at its next session, praying for leave to
introduce a Bill to give effect in the Colony of New
Zealand to the alteration of the name of the Liver-
pool and London Fire and Life Insurance Company
to that of the Liverpool and London and Globe
Insurance Company, and to enable the Liverpool and
London and Globe Insurance Company to sue and be
sued in the name of such last-mentioned Company,
and to authorize the Company to make investments
in this colony in the names of Trustees whose names
shall be duly recorded, and to vest all such securities
and property of the Company in New Zealand in such
Trustees as provided by the said Bill.
And notice is hereby further given that copies of
the said intended Bill will be deposited in the office
of the Examiner of Standing Orders on the second
day of June next.
Dated this twenty-fourth day of April, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine.

AUCKLAND GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).
In the matter of the voluntarily winding up of the
Auckland Gold-Mining Company (Limited), and
in the matter of "The Joint Stock Companies
Act, 1860."
NOTICE is hereby given that, at an extraordinary
general meeting of shareholders of the Auck-
land Gold-Mining Company (Limited), held at the
office of the Company, Shortland Street, next Post
Office, Auckland, on the 10th day of March, 1879, a
special resolution was passed: "That the Auckland
Gold-Mining Company (Limited) be voluntarily
wound up, and that Mr. Robert Horne, of Shortland
Street, Auckland, be Liquidator for the purposes of
the winding up."
And notice is hereby further given that, at a sub-
sequent meeting of the shareholders of the said
Auckland Gold-Mining Company (Limited), held at
the office of the Company, Shortland Street, next
Post Office, Auckland, on the 14th day of April,
1879, the above resolution was duly confirmed.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-
RACE.
To the Mining Registrar, also to the Warden at
Arrow, in the Mining District of Otago Gold
Fields, and to all others whom it may concern.
TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a
Water-race for other than gold-mining pur-
poses, to wit, for wool-washing and irrigation pur-
poses, commencing at a point in Bush Creek, Arrow
River, seventy yards below Thomas Mulville's Mining
Claim, and terminating at Agricultural Area held
under License No. 1383, 1st January, 1879, Shotover
Survey District, under the provisions of subsection 1
of section 31 of "The Mines Act, 1877."
The length of such race is 150 yards or there-
abouts; course, east and west; mean depth, 12
inches; breadth, 18 inches. One week required to
construct said race, and it is proposed to divert one
Government-head of water.
Dated at Arrowtown, this 17th day of April, 1879.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-
RACE.
To the Mining Registrar at Waikaia of the Switzer's
Mining District, and all other persons whom it
may concern.
TAKE notice that it is intended to construct
Water-race to divert water for machine pur-
poses-that is to say, driving machinery appertaining
to a flour-mill, commencing at a point 350 yards
above Wingrove's Gully on the south side of
Winding Creek or Argyle Burn, and terminating
at Waikaia Township.
The length of such race is three miles or there-
abouts, and its intended course is east and west;
the mean depth of such race is 2 feet, and the mean
breadth is 4 feet; and it is proposed to divert eight
Government-heads of water.
Also that I intend to construct a Wing-dam across
the Winding Creek or Argyle Burn at the head or
commencement of the above water-race; length of
dam, 10 yards; greatest height, 3 feet.

plication must lodge his objection in writing at the
Registrar's Office at Waikaia, within fourteen clear
days from the date hereof. Hearing at 11 o'clock

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership
heretofore subsisting between the undersigned
PETER DINWIDDIE and THOMAS MORRISON, as Sta-
tioners, Newspaper Proprietors, Printers, and Pub-
lishers, at Napier, in the Provincial District of
Hawke's Bay, in the Colony of New Zealand, under
the style or firm of "Dinwiddie, Morrison, and Co.,"
has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. The
business will in future be carried on by the said
Peter Dinwiddie and the undersigned Richard
Thomas Walker, under the style or firm of "Din-
widdie, Walker, and Co.," to whom all moneys and
debts due to the late firm must be paid, and by whom
all liabilities of the said firm will be discharged.
