LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given that the parcel of
land hereinafter described will be brought
under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act,
1870," unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same
on or before the 16th day of June, 1879.
738. JESSE HUET—8¼ perches, part of Sec-
tion 537, City of Wellington, fronting 24 feet on
Mulgrave Street, with a depth of 95 feet 8 inches,
the southern boundary thereof being parallel to and
distant 42 feet 5 inches from the southern boundary
of said section.
Diagrams may be inspected at this office.
Dated this 7th day of May, 1879, at the Lands
Registry Office, Wellington.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given that ELIZA BOND,
of Wellington, Widow, claiming as Devisee
under the Will of THOMAS BOND, late of Wellington,
Builder, deceased, has applied to be registered as
Proprietor of that piece of land in the City of Wel-
lington, being Allotment "14," and part of Allot-
ment "13," on a plan deposited in the Lands
Registry Office, Wellington, No. 34; and that she
will be so registered unless caveat forbidding the
same be lodged on or before the 16th day of June
next.

LAND TO BE TAKEN FOR ROAD PURPOSES, UNDER
THE PROVISIONS OF "THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT,
1876."

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waipukurau
Highway Board propose to take, for the pur-
pose of a road, commencing near the Takapau Rail-
way Station and ending at Ashley-Clinton, Makaretu,
1 chain wide, as follows:---
From Block 234, Ruataniwha, owned by John
Johnston, 8 acres 1½ perches; from Blocks 59, 182,
192, and 60, Ruataniwha, owned by Alexander
Grant, 15 acres 3 roods 11 perches; and from
Blocks 109, 111, 115, 105, 274, and 196, Ruataniwha,
owned by Stephen Gillingham, 44 acres and 27½
perches.
Plans of the land to be taken are now lying for
inspection at Mr. W. C. Smith's store, Waipukurau.
All persons thereby affected are called upon to set
forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the
taking of such lands, and to send the same within
forty days of the date hereof to the Chairman of
the Waipukurau Road Board.

NOTICE TO SHAREHOLDERS.

A N Extraordinary General Meeting of the Share-
holders of the above Company will be held at
the office of the Company, Wellington, corner
Lambton Quay and Waring Taylor Street, on
Wednesday, 21st May, 1879, at 4 o'clock p.m., to
confirm the special resolutions set forth below,
which were passed on the 9th and 18th April,
1879:--

  1. "That the provisional contract made by the
    Chairman of the Board of Directors with Robert
    Caldwell Reid, dated 1st April, 1879, for the sale of
    the newspaper plant, goodwill, and book debts of the
    Company, and the leasehold of the premises in which
    the business is carried on, be ratified and confirmed;
    and that the Directors be empowered to execute,
    under the seal of the Company, all necessary deeds
    and documents to give effect to such provisional
    contract."
  2. "That the Company be wound up voluntarily,
    and that Liquidators be appointed for the purpose of
    such winding up."
