NOTICE.
"THE DISTRICT LAW SOCIETIES ACT, 1878."
T HE following resolution was passed at a meeting
of the Solicitors residing and practising in the
Northern District of the Supreme Court of New
Zealand (excepting those Solicitors residing and
practising in the Provincial District of Taranaki),
duly constituted and convened in accordance with the
provisions of the said Act, and held at the Supreme
Courthouse, at Auckland, on Friday, the 28th day
of March, 1879 :-
Resolution: "That the Solicitors of the Supreme
Court residing within the limits of the Northern
Judicial District (excepting thereout the Provincial
District of Taranaki) shall, from and after this 28th
day of March, 1879, be associated as a Society within
the meaning of 'The District Law Societies Act,
1878,' by the name of 'The Law Society of the
District of Auckland.'"

PHENIX GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).
In the matter of the voluntarily winding up of the
Phœnix Gold-Mining Company (Limited), and in
the matter of "The Joint Stock Companies Act,
1860."
N OTICE is hereby given that, at a general meeting
of shareholders of the Phœnix Gold-Mining
Company (Limited), held at the office of the Com-
pany, Shortland Street, next Post Office, Auckland,
on the 5th day of November, 1878, a special resolu-
tion was passed, "That the Phoenix Gold-Mining
Company (Limited) be voluntarily wound up, and
that Mr. Robert Horne, of Shortland Street, Auck-
land, be Liquidator for the purposes of the winding
up:" And notice is hereby further given that, at a sub-
sequent meeting of the shareholders of the said Phœnix
Gold-Mining Company (Limited), held at the office
of the Company, Shortland Street, next Post Office,
Auckland, on the 10th day of December, 1878, the
above resolution was duly confirmed.

line of road, with every information, at the office,
Kaituna. All objections to the above to be sent in
to the Chairman to the Board, in accordance with
clause 22 of "The Public Works Act, 1876."

or other Owner of Town Section No. 358 of the
Borough of Napier.
N OTICE is hereby given, under and by virtue of
"The Napier Swamp Nuisance Act, 1875," and
"The Napier Swamp Nuisance Act Continuance Act,
1877," that, unless the sum of four hundred and
twenty pounds eighteen shillings and eightpence
(£420 18s. 8d.), being the actual cost of filling in
and reclaiming your land, being Town Section No.
358 on the plan of the Town of Napier, situate in
the Napier Town Swamp, together with interest on
the said sum from the day of the date hereof, at the
rate of six pounds per centum per annum, be paid
to the said Corporation on or before the 17th day
of October, 1879, the said land will, under and by
virtue of the provisions of the said Acts, be sold to
defray the cost of such filling in and reclamation as
aforesaid, and interest as aforesaid.
