PUBLIC NOTICE.
IN pursuance of "The Auckland College and
Grammar School Act, 1877," and of the regula-
tions thereunder for conducting the election of
Governors by the persons authorized to do so by
subsection 2 of section 3 of that Act, I hereby notify
that
FRANCIS DART FENTON, Esq.,
has been, this day, duly elected a Governor of the
Board of Governors constituted by the said Act.

Agricultural Lease Certificate declared void.
IN pursuance of "The Gold Fields Act, 1866," and
of the regulations thereunder for the granting
and issue of agricultural leases, it is hereby notified
that the Certificate of Application (No. 1353c) for a
lease of Section 22, Block XVII., Shotover, granted
to Lewis Miller, has this day, with the approval of
the Land Board of the Otago Land District, been
declared void; and that the said land is now open
for application and occupation as if no such lease had
been applied for.
Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this
twenty-sixth day of March, 1879.

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations
made under that Act for the granting of leases for
gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is
intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicant specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such lease.
Objections to granting such lease, stating the
grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and
lodged with the Warden at Ahaura on or before
the 1st day of May, 1879.
Copy of the application made and plan annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Ahaura.
SCHEDULE.
APPLICANT: Abraham Jenkins. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: "Jenkins's
Gully Gold-Mining Company." 10 acres, at German
Gully, west of and adjoining the Hochstetter Gold-
Mining Company's Lease, in the Nelson South-West
Mining District.
Given under my hand, at Nelson, this fifteenth
day of April, one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-nine.

SALE OF RURAL LANDS.

Auckland, 28th March, 1879.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in
the Waste Lands Board by "The Land Act,
1877," and "The Crown Lands Sale Act, 1877," it is
hereby notified that the rural land mentioned in the
Schedule hereunder will be offered for sale by public
auction, at the Crown Lands Office, Auckland, by
the Commissioner of Crown Lands, on Tuesday, the
29th day of April, 1879, at the hour of 11 o'clock in
the forenoon.

medium land, with a small bush, about 10 acres, on it.
