LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES.

NOTICE is hereby given that the several parcels
of land hereinafter described will be brought
under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act,
1870," unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same
on or before the 3rd day of May next.

  1. JAMES GEAR.—15 acres, part of Section
    4, Hutt District. Occupied by Applicant.

  2. WILLIAM WARING TAYLOR.—7143
    acres and 20 perches, Blocks 223, 129, 130, 131, 132,
    133, 134, 135, 136, 137, 138, 139, 141, 143, 145, and
    147, and parts of Blocks 140, 142, and 144, also
    Sections 26 and 26A, and parts of Sections 18, 20,
    22, and 24, Rangitikei District. Occupied by Ap-
    plicant.

Diagrams may be inspected at this office.

"MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS REGISTRATION ACT,
1869."

I, JOHN GEORGE THORNLEY, Doctor in
Medicine, Queen's University, Ireland, and
Licentiate of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edin-
burgh, at present resident in Wellington, hereby
notify that I intend to apply, on the 28th day of
April, 1879, to be registered under the above Act,
and that I have deposited the evidences of my quali-
fication for public inspection with the Registrar-
General.

I HEREBY give notice that, under a writ of fieri
facias, duly issued out of the Supreme Court at
the suit of JAMES and HENRY BARBER, of the City of
Wellington, I have taken in execution the equity of
redemption of JOSIAS JAMES BEATTY, of the City
of Wellington, Hotelkeeper, in all that piece or parcel
of land situate in the said City of Wellington, and
being Lot numbered 1 of Section numbered three
hundred and seventy-three (373) on the plan of
the said City of Wellington. Bounded towards the
South-east by Macfarlane Street, sixty-four links;
towards the North-east by other part of the same
section, one hundred and twenty-nine links; towards
the North-west by Clyde Quay, seventy links; and
towards the South-west by other part of said section,
one hundred and sixty-six links; together with the
buildings and erections thereon: And that I intend
to cause the same to be sold at the auction-rooms of
Messrs. Laery and Campbell, in the City of Wel-
lington, on the twenty-seventh day of June, 1879, at
two o'clock in the afternoon, unless the same be
previously released.

The Solicitor for the Execution Creditor is Mr. F.
M. Ollivier, of Lambton Quay, Wellington.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.

To the Mining Registrar at Naseby, in the Mount
Ida Mining District, and all other persons whom
it may concern.

TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a
water-race, and divert water for purposes of
irrigation, commencing at a point in the left-hand
branch of the Eweburn Creek, opposite Mr. Pack-
man's Farm, and terminating on my farm, Eweburn.
The length of such race is twelve chains, or there-
abouts, and its intended course is west and east.
The mean depth of such race is one foot, and the
mean breadth one foot, and it is proposed to divert
one Government-head of water; and I estimate that
two months will be required for its construction, and
I apply for a term of fifteen years.

Dated this 12th day of March, 1879.

All objections to the above application must be
lodged in writing at the Mining Registrar's Office,
at Naseby, within thirty days from the date hereof.
Hearing at the Mining Registrar's Office on the
21st day of April, 1879.

Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a com-
mission at the rate of five per cent.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.

Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom Post Office Money Orders should
be made payable.

Postage or duty stamps cannot in any case be received in
payment from any place at which post-office orders are issued,
and, under any circumstances, are subject to a reduction at the
rate of one shilling in the pound.

NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL IN FUTURE BE INSERTED WITHOUT
PREPAYMENT BEING MADE.
