of Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy Council; Knight Grand Cross of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-nine.

HIS Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to make the following
appointments of Valuers under "The Land-Tax Act, 1878:"—

JOHN MCLEOD—For Coal and other Mines in Counties of Whangarei and Bay of Islands, as from the
25th January instant.

DAVID MCKAY—For Makarewa Road District, County Southland, as from the 6th instant.

GEORGE ROSS—For Borough of North-East Valley, as from the 10th instant, vice Hugh McFadyen,
resigned.
