Land temporarily reserved in the Provincial District
of Otago.

NORMANBY, Governor.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time, either by general
or particular description, and whether the same has
been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily,
notwithstanding that the same may be then held
under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his
opinion are required for any of the purposes in the
said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act,
do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Provincial District of Otago described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the
said Schedule specified.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Provincial District of Otago,
containing by admeasurement two (2) roods, more or
less, situate in the Township of Wyndham, being
Sections numbered respectively 31 and 32, Block
XII., on the map of the said township. Bounded
towards the North-east by Sections numbered re-
spectively 1 and 2 of said Block XII., two hundred
(200) links; towards the South-east by Section
numbered 30, two hundred and fifty (250) links;
towards the South-west by Redan Street, two
hundred (200) links; and towards the North-west
by Balaclava Street, two hundred and fifty (250)
links: as the same is delineated on the plans in the
Survey Office, Dunedin. For a telegraph and post
office site.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this fifth day of February,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
nine.

ALL that parcel of land in the Town of Kihikihi,
being Lot 177, Puniu Survey District, contain-
ing by admeasurement one (1) acre, more or less.
Bounded towards the North by a road, sixty-nine
(69) links; towards the East by Lots one hundred
and three (103) and one hundred and four (104),
five hundred and seventy-two and five-tenths (572.5)
links; towards the South-west by Lot one hundred
and eleven (111), four hundred and thirteen (413)
links; and towards the North-west by a road, four
hundred and three and five-tenths (403.5) links. As
a site for a public hall and library.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this fifth day of February,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
nine.

Judges of Assessment Courts under "The Rating Act, 1876," appointed.

NORMANBY, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of all powers and authorities vested in me by "The Rating Act, 1876,"
I, George Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby appoint the persons named in the Schedule hereto to be the Judges of the Assessment Courts for
the districts placed opposite their names.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirtieth day of January, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine.
