IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the
Governor has been pleased to pronounce the
under-mentioned leases cancelled; and that the
ground is now open for application as if no lease of
the said ground had ever been applied for:--

GOLD-MINING LEASE.
Wallace Flint Pitman; 10 acres, District of Ahaura,
Nelson South-West Gold Fields.

AGRICULTURAL LEASE.
James Edwards; Section 3, Block I., Ahaura, and

the 1st proximo, during the absence on leave of the
District Land Registrar.

Louis Davies (for the New Royal Standard Quartz-
Mining Company); 15 acres 2 roods 17 perches,
District of Anderson's, Inangahua.
Charles Bennett; 12 acres 3 roods 31 perches,
District of Soldier's Creek, Inangahua.
All in the Nelson South-West Gold Fields.

Bonus payable for Exportation of Rabbit-skins to
cease after 31st March, 1880.

Office of the Commissioner of Customs,
Wellington, 18th December, 1879.

IT is hereby notified that the vote by the General
Assembly of moneys for payment of bonus for
exportation of rabbit-skins will expire on the 31st
March next, and that after that date no further vote
for this service will be proposed to the Legislature.
No claims for bonus on rabbit-skins exported after
the 31st March, 1880, will therefore be entertained.

Achille Cerruso; 16 acres 2 roods, District of
Lyell.
Alexander McCloy (for Great Britain Extended
Gold-Mining Company); 11 acres 2 roods, District
of Lyell.
Both in the Nelson South-West Gold Fields.

Alterations and Additions to the Rates for the Con-
veyance, Delivery, and Storage of Goods, Parcels,
&c., on the New Zealand Railways.

IN accordance with the By-laws for the New Zea-
land Railways, fixed by Order in Council, dated
the 17th day of December, 1878, the following
alterations and additions to the rates for the con-
veyance, delivery, and storage of goods, parcels, &c.,
on all the New Zealand Railways, are hereby declared
to be fixed:--

AUCKLAND SECTION.

On and after the 1st January, 1880, the maximum
charge for freight for native coal by railway from
the pits in the Huntly District will be six shillings
and sixpence (6s. 6d.) per ton, and from the Mara-
marina pits (Whangamarina siding), four shillings
and eightpence (4s. 8d.) per ton, in full truck loads,
to Auckland, Onehunga, and intermediate stations.
In all other respects the Gazette notice dated the
14th November, 1879, will be applicable on the
Auckland and Waikato Railway.

WELLINGTON SECTION.

On and after the 1st January, 1880, an addition
of five miles will be made to the actual mileage in
computing the rates for passengers and goods pass-
ing over the Rimutaka incline.
