oyster-beds should be further temporarily closed :
Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, in exercise and pursuance of the power and
authority in me vested by the said Act, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the natural oyster-beds at
Port Adventure, Stewart Island, shall be closed
against dredging for a further period of one year
from the twenty-second day of July, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-nine.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken under "The
Public Works Act, 1876," and "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," for a certain work,
to wit, the construction of a road in Section two
hundred and five, Square one hundred and forty-one,
Kawatiri District, County of Buller:
And whereas the Buller County Council has
laid before the Governor the memorial and map
mentioned in and signed and certified as required
by the said Acts:
Now, therefore, I, Hercules George Robert Robin-
son, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Coun-
cil of the said colony, in exercise and pursuance of
the powers and authorities in me vested by sections
twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four,
and twenty-five of "The Public Works Act, 1876,"
and by section twenty-eight of "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," and of any other
power and authority enabling me in that behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described
in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the
purposes of a road; and that, from and after the
twenty-fifth day of September, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-nine, the land so described shall
become absolutely vested in fee-simple in Her
Majesty, discharged from all mortgages, charges,
claims, estates, and interests of what kind soever,
for use as a road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods 8 perches, more or
less, situated in the Kawatiri District, County of
Buller, being part of Section 205, Square 141, as
shown on the Provincial maps of Nelson: Commencing
at a point on east side of Westport and Charleston
Road, at the south-west corner of aforesaid section,
and proceeding thence at a bearing of 9° 22' 12" for
a distance of 29.7 links along portion of west boun-
dary of said section; thence at a bearing of 43° 36' 7"
Changing the Purpose of a Portion of a Reserve.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
sixteenth day of September, 1879.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the first
column of the Schedule hereto is a portion
of Section number two hundred and nineteen (in
red) reserved for a gravel-pit:
And whereas the said reserve is for one of the
purposes named in Part I. of the Schedule to "The
Public Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1878," and, in
the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to
change the purpose of the portion of such reserve
referred to in the Schedule hereto to one of the
purposes named in the said Part I., as hereinafter
mentioned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by the sixth section of "The Public
Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1878," doth hereby
order and direct that the purpose of the portion of
the reserve mentioned in the the first column of the
Schedule hereto shall be changed from that of a
reserve for a gravel-pit, and doth hereby declare and
