NOTICE is hereby given that the parcel of land
hereinafter described will be brought under the
the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act, 1870,"
unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same within
one calendar month from the date of the Gazette
containing this notice.

I HEREBY give notice that, under a writ of fieri
facias, duly issued out of the Supreme Court, at
the suit of OLIVER WITTON CLAYTON, of the City of
Wellington, I have taken in execution the equity of
redemption of EDWARD SHEEHAN, of the City of
Wellington, Carter, in all that piece of land being
Lot numbered 1 of Section 373, on the plan of the
City of Wellington. Bounded towards the South-
east by Macfarlane Street, sixty-four (64) links;
towards the North-east by other part of the same
Section, one hundred and twenty-nine (129) links;
towards the North-west by Clyde Quay, seventy (70)
links; and towards the South-west by other part of
the said section, one hundred and sixty-six (166)
links: together with the erections and buildings
thereon. And that I intend to cause the same to be
sold at the auction-rooms of Messrs. Laery and
Campbell, in the City of Wellington, on the twenty-
second day of November, 1878, at two o'clock in the
afternoon, unless the same be previously released.
The Solicitor for the Execution Creditor is Mr.
F. M. Ollivier, of Lambton Quay, Wellington.

NOTICE.
Waikohu Road Board Office,
Ormond, 29th August, 1878.
NOTICE is hereby given that the piece of road
known as "Waikohu and Patutahi," from Mr.
Scott's Crossing to Lavenham, has been duly surveyed,
and sanctioned by His Excellency the Governor, and
that the plans and specifications of the same will be
open to public inspection at the Waikohu Road
Board Office, Chandos Hotel, Ormond, on and after
Monday, the 2nd September.
All persons, occupiers or owners of land through
which the said road passes, having any objections to
make to the said line of road, are hereby required to
make such objections, addressed to the undersigned
within forty days of the date of this notice.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO EXTEND WATER-RACE.
District of Tuapeka, 30th August, 1878.
To the Warden and to the Mining Registrar at Law-
rence.
WE hereby give notice that we intend to extend
our Water-race, No. 468, for mining purposes,
commencing at a point at the head of said race in
Gabriel's Creek or Gully, and terminating in our
dam, No. 2640, situate in Gabriel's Creek or Gully.
The length of such extension of race is 500 yards
or thereabouts, and its intended course is from the |
present head of the race to the said dam, in the
natural course of the creek.
The mean depth of such race is 2 feet, and the
mean breadth is 2 feet 6 inches.

lution was passed at an Extraordinary General
Meeting of Shareholders in the above Company, held
at the Empire Hotel, Westport, on the 21st day of
May, 1878, at 8 p.m. :-
Proposed by Mr. Organ, seconded by Mr. Andrews,
"That the Westport Gas, Coal, and Coke Company
(Limited), be wound up voluntarily."
The above resolution was confirmed at a Special
General Meeting of the same Company called for
that purpose, held at the same place, on Tuesday, the
25th day of June, 1878, at 8 p.m.

heretofore subsisting between the undersigned
WILLIAM TAIT and MURDOCH MCIVER, as Sheep-
farmers, at Waikari, in the Provincial District of
Hawke's Bay, under the firm of "Tait and McIver,"
has been this day dissolved by mutual consent.
The business will in future be carried on by the
said Murdoch McIver alone.
