for sale on deferred payments; and that Thursday,
the third day of October, one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-eight, shall be the day on which the said
land shall be open for application.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Provincial District of Canter-
bury, containing by admeasurement one thousand
three hundred and eighty-three (1,383) acres, more
or less. Bounded towards the Westward by I.P.Rs.
A, B, C, D, and E, on Run 48, Class 3; towards
the North-east by Canterbury Association P.R.
numbered 279, and also by Reserve numbered 1834
(in red); and towards the South by road north
of Section numbered 32536: save and except
Reserves numbered 2299 and 2301 (in red), also a
part of Section 32788, which are included in the
above-described boundaries.
All that area in the Provincial District of Can-
terbury, containing by admeasurement two thousand
one hundred and ninety-two (2,192) acres, more or
less. Bounded towards the Southward by I.P.Rs.
A, B, C, D, and E, on Run numbered 67, Class 3,
and also by Section numbered 32291; towards the
Westward by the road east of Section 26989, by
I.P.R. E aforesaid, and also by the road passing
through that pre-emptive right; towards the East-
ward by I.P.Rs. H and C, on Run numbered 60,
Class 3, and also by a line in continuation of western
boundary of the latter pre-emptive right; towards
the Northward by the same P.R., a line in con-
tinuation of its southern boundary, by I.P.R. E
on Run 67, Class 3, and also by a line parallel to the
northern boundary of I.P.R. A on Run 67, Class 3,
and 94 chains distant therefrom: save and except
Reserves numbered 2307, 2308, and 2311, which are
included in the above-described boundaries.
All that area in the Provincial District of Can-
terbury, containing by admeasurement two thousand
eight hundred and sixteen (2,816) acres, more or
less. Bounded towards the West by a line in con-
tinuation of the western boundary of I.P.R. C,
on Run 60, Class 3; towards the North-east by
Reserve numbered 1765 (in red); towards the South
by a line in continuation of the southern boundary of
I.P.R. C above-mentioned, and also by Sections num-
bered 32289, 32290, and 32291; and towards the
East by I.P.Rs. D and E, and lines in continuation
of their western boundaries: save and except I.P.Rs.
C and E on Run No. 60, Class 3; portions of I.P.Rs.
F, H, K, on same run, and part of I.P.R. F on Run
No. 48, Class 3; and also Reserve numbered 2313
(in red), which are included in the above-described
boundaries.
All that area in the Provincial District of Can-
terbury, containing by admeasurement one thousand
and two (1,002) acres, more or less. Bounded
towards the Westward by road east of Section
numbered 26996; towards the Northward by I.P.Rs.
A, B, C, D, and E, on Run numbered 67, Class
3; towards the Eastward by the road passing
through the last-mentioned pre-emptive right; and
towards the Southward by the road north of Section
numbered 32385: save and except Reserves num-
bered 2309 and 2310, which are included in the
above-described boundaries.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl of
Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and
Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the
County of York, in the Peerage of the
United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave
of New Ross, in the County of Wexford,
in the Peerage of Ireland; a Member of
Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy
Council; Knight Grand Cross of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and
Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at
the Government House, at Wellington,
this second day of September, in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-eight.

extended.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by "The Municipal Corporations Act,
1876," it is, amongst other things, enacted
that the Governor may at any time, upon the petition
of the Mayor and Council of a borough, by a Pro-
clamation publicly notified, alter the boundaries of
such borough so as to include therein any part of the
foreshore: And whereas a petition has been pre-
sented to me by the Mayor and Councillors of the
Borough of the City of Auckland, in the Provincial
District of Auckland, praying me, amongst other
things, to alter the boundaries of the said borough,
so as to include therein the piece of land described
in the First Schedule hereto, being part of the fore-
shore of the Auckland Harbour:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and autho-
rities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby pro-
claim and declare that the boundaries of the said
borough are hereby altered, so as to include within
the limits of the said borough the land described in
the First Schedule hereto, and that the said borough
shall henceforth be bounded as specified in the
Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, commencing in the centre of Franklin
Street, at the original high-water mark of Freeman's
Bay; thence bounded towards the West by lines
fifty (50) links and three hundred (300) links; to-
wards the North by lines one thousand two hundred
and twenty-five (1225) links, seven hundred (700)
links, two hundred and seventy (270) links, four
thousand three hundred (4300) links, five hundred
and fifty (550) links, ninety (90) links, two hundred
and twenty-five (225) links, six hundred and seventy-
five (675) links, one thousand three hundred and
fifty (1350) links, two hundred and twenty-five (225):
links, three hundred (300) links, four hundred (400)
links, two hundred and fifty (250) links, two hundred
(200) links, one thousand nine hundred and fifty
(1950) links, and one thousand eight hundred (1800)
links; towards the East by a line one thousand five
hundred (1500) links to the Strand; and towards the
South by the original high-water mark of Waitemata
Harbour to the centre of Franklin Street, the starting
point: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, commencing in the middle of Franklin
Street, at the original high-water mark of Freeman's
Bay; thence bounded towards the West by lines
fifty (50) links and three hundred (300) links;
