Boundaries of Collingwood Road District altered.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the third section of the Act of
the Provincial Council of Nelson intituled
"The Nelson Highways Act, 1872," it is enacted that
it shall be lawful for the Superintendent from time
to time to constitute and appoint certain districts in
which the Act now in recital should come into
operation, and the limits of such districts from time
to time to alter as occasion might require, and also,
if he should see fit, to revoke the Proclamation by
which such districts shall have been constituted, and
to make such other provisions as he should think
necessary for carrying into effect the said Act:
And whereas by "The Abolition of Provinces
Act, 1875," all powers, duties, and functions by the
said "Nelson Highways Act, 1872," vested in or to
be exercised or performed by the Superintendent are
now vested in and are to be exercised by the
Governor: And whereas it is expedient to alter the
limits of the Collingwood Road District so as to
include therein other land as well as the land already
included therein:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of all
the powers and authorities by the said recited Acts
vested in me, do hereby proclaim and declare that
from and after the date hereof the limits of the said
Collingwood Road District shall be and the same are
hereby altered, so that the boundaries thereof shall
be those set forth in the Schedule hereto, and the
said Collingwood Road District shall henceforth
comprise the area contained within such boundaries.
SCHEDULE.
COLLINGWOOD ROAD DISTRICT.
BOUNDED towards the North by the ocean from
Kahurangi Point to the Spit End; towards the East
by Golden Bay to the mouth of the River Pari-
whakaho, thence by a line drawn to the summit of
Slate River Peak, and thence by the watershed to the
summit of Mount Snowden; towards the South by
the watershed from Mount Snowden to Mount
Domett, and thence by a right line to Kahurangi
Point, the starting point.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl
of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and
Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the
County of York, in the Peerage of the
United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave
of New Ross, in the County of Wexford,
in the Peerage of Ireland; a Member of
Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy
Council; Knight Grand Cross of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and
Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
sixteenth day of January, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-eight.
