Waste Lands of the Crown deemed to be Land within
the purposes of "The Ellesmere and Forsyth Recla-
mation and Akaroa Railway Trust Act, 1876."

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and
exercise of the power and
authority in me vested by the twentieth section
of "The Ellesmere and Forsyth Reclamation and
Akaroa Railway Trust Act, 1876," I, George Augus-
tus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, do, after authorized
survey, hereby determine that the waste land of the
Crown described in the Schedule hereto shall be
deemed to be land within the purposes of the said
Act.

ALL that area in the Provincial District of Canter-
bury, containing by admeasurement 72,000 acres,
more or less, commencing at a point on the coast
line, the same being the south-western side of the
outlet of Lake Ellesmere; thence along the boun-
daries of Native Reserves 878, 889, and 806, Bridge's
Road, Sections 10462, 9467, 8828, 9189, 9157, 8929,
9600, 9174, and 12142, Reserves 684, 685, and 207,

Reserves 312, 313, and 1105, and I.P.Rs. C and D
on Run 321, Class 2, which are included within the
above-described boundaries.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this sixth day of August, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.

Cemetery.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the second section
of "The Cemeteries Management Act, 1877," I,
George Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Nor-
manby, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby appoint the several persons whose names
are specified in the first column of the Schedule
hereto to be Trustees to provide for the maintenance
and care of the public cemetery specified in the
second column of the said Schedule.

Prohibition of Importation of Stock into New South
Wales renewed.

THE following Proclamation, renewing for a term
of two years the prohibition of the importation
of stock into New South Wales, except from certain
countries, and declaring the regulations under which
cattle and sheep may be imported from those coun-
tries, is published for general information.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the seventeenth
day of March, 1876, issued under the 10th section of
the Act of Parliament of New South Wales, passed
in the thirty-fifth year of the reign of Her present
Majesty, intituled the "Imported Stock Act of 1871,"
and numbered six, the importation or introduction
into this colony of stock, fodder, or fittings from any
colony or country other than the Colonies of Victoria,
South Australia, Queensland, Tasmania, and Western
Australia, is restricted and absolutely prohibited for
the further period from the thirtieth day of June,
1876, to the thirtieth day of June, 1878: And
whereas the period specified in the foresaid Procla-
mation has expired, and it is considered that cattle
and sheep may, under proper regulations, be now
imported into this colony from Great Britain, Ireland,
Canada, and the United States of America, without
incurring any risk of introducing any infectious
or contagious disease in stock: Now, therefore,
