ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-third day of July, 1878.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority vested in him by the three hundred
and fiftieth section of "The Municipal Corporations
Act, 1876," and upon the request of the Borough
of Balclutha, His Excellency the Governor, by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the Colony of New Zealand, doth hereby order
that the lands described in the Schedule hereto
shall be and the same is hereby reserved out of the
waste lands of the Provincial District of Otago, for
the purpose of granting the same to the Corporation
of the Borough of Balclutha.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Otago, containing by admeasurement three (3) acres
one (1) rood and thirty-five (35) poles, more or less,
situate in the Township of Balclutha. Bounded
towards the North-east by Tinto Street; towards the
South-east by Glasgow Street; towards the South-
west by Langside Street; and towards the North-west
by Renfrew Street; and intersected by Lanark Street,
one hundred (100) links wide.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Otago, containing by admeasurement nineteen
(19) acres three (3) roods and eleven (11) poles,
more or less, situate in the Township of Balclutha.
Bounded towards the North by Sections numbered
three (3), four (4), five (5), six (6), and seven (7),
Block (seventeen) XVII., Balclutha Surburban;
towards the South-east by Pakefield Street; towards
the South-west by Stamford Street; again towards
the South-east by a street line; again towards the
South-west by Crown lands; and towards the West
by Crown lands.

the Borough of Cromwell.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Otago, containing by admeasurement one thousand
(1,000) acres, more or less, situate in Blocks one (I.)
and three (III.), Cromwell Survey District. Bounded
towards the North-east by a line parallel to the
north-eastern boundary of the Town of Cromwell,
and distant therefrom about 35 chains; towards
the North-west by another line at right angles
to the afore-mentioned line, being parallel to the
western boundary of the Town of Cromwell, and
about 35 chains distant therefrom; towards the
South-west by a line parallel to the south-western
boundary of the Town of Cromwell, and about 35
chains distant therefrom; towards the North-east by
the Kawarau River and the Town of Cromwell afore-
said; again towards the South-west by the Town of
Cromwell aforesaid; and again towards the North-
east by the Clutha River: excepting from the
above description all lands sold or otherwise dis-
posed of.
