Fisher, Minister acting for the Minister for Public
Works, and which said map and plan is deposited in
the office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court at
Christchurch, in the Provincial District of Canter-
bury.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point on the south-western boun-
dary line of Rural Section No. 113 on the map of the
Chief Surveyor of the Provincial District of Canter-
bury, said point being situate 2608 links from the
western boundary of Lincoln Road, or the southern-
most corner of said section; proceeding thence in a
generally north-easterly and easterly direction for a
distance of 1300 links or thereabouts; thence in a
generally easterly and south-easterly direction for a
distance of 890 links or thereabouts to a point situate
in Rural Section No. 9, said point being 1654 links dis-
tant from the western boundary of Lincoln Road, on a
line at right angles to said road, and 120 links distant
from the south-western boundary of Section No. 9
aforesaid, on a line at right angles to said boundary,
all being within the County of Selwyn, Provincial
District of Canterbury, Colony of New Zealand, in
the manner delineated on the map and plan marked
P.W.D. 6523, signed by the Honorable James Temple
Fisher, Minister acting for the Minister for Public
Works, deposited in the office of the Registrar of
the Supreme Court, at Christchurch, Provincial Dis-
trict of Canterbury, the total length being 2110 links
or thereabouts.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl
of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and
Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the
County of York, in the Peerage of the
United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave
of New Ross, in the County of Wexford,
in the Peerage of Ireland; a Member of
Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy
Council; Knight Grand Cross of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and
Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
nineteenth day of July, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-eight.

Land temporarily reserved in the Provincial District
of Auckland.
NORMANBY, Governor.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either
by general or particular description, and whether
the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from
sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may
be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which in his opinion are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act,
do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Provincial District of Auckland described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the
said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, containing by admeasurement one (1)
acre and two (2) roods, more or less, being Lot
numbered forty-two (42) of the Town of Whakatane.
For a telegraph station.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this eighteenth day of July,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.
