WAVERLEY WARD.
ALL that area within the borough situated east of
the middle of the Dunedin and North Taieri Road,
and south of the middle of the road from Roslyn
to Maori Hill.
LINDEN WARD.
All that area within the borough situated west of
the Waverley Ward, and north of the middle of the
Dunedin and North Taieri Road.
KILGOUR WARD.
All that area within the borough situated west
of the Waverley Ward, and south of the middle of
the road from Roslyn to Mornington.
SUNNYSIDE WARD.
The remaining portion of the borough.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl of
Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and Baron
Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the County
of York, in the Peerage of the United
Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave of New
Ross, in the County of Wexford, in the
Peerage of Ireland; a Member of Her
Majesty's Most Honorable Privy Coun-
cil; Knight Grand Cross of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at
Christchurch, this eighth day of June, in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-eight.

said Act :
And whereas it is expedient to alter the boundaries
of the said districts so constituted as aforesaid :
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
powers and authorities so vested in me as aforesaid,
do hereby alter the boundaries of the said Districts
of Collingwood and Nelson South-West Gold Fields,
as described in the Schedule hereto, as and from the
first day of July next.
SCHEDULE.
COLLINGWOOD DISTRICT.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Nelson, bounded towards the East by the summit
of the range of hills south-east of Awarua Bay from
Awarua Point to its junction with the range of
mountains between Separation Point and Mount
Arthur, thence by the summit of the said mountains
to Mount Arthur; towards the South by the summit
of the watershed between the Mackay and Takaka
Rivers to Mount Snowdon, thence along the summit
of the range to Mount Domett, thence by a line to
the southern source of the Heaphy River, and by
the left bank of that river to the sea; and towards
the West and North by the sea to the point of com-
mencement.
NELSON SOUTH-WEST GOLD FIELDS DISTRICT.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Nelson, bounded towards the North by the
Collingwood District, hereinbefore described, to
Mount Arthur; towards the East and South-east
by the summits of the Tasman Mountains, the
Marine Mountains, the Lyell Mountains, the Brun-
ner Mountains, the Victoria Mountains, and the
summit of the watershed between the Grey and
Maruia Rivers to Kaiapoi District; thence by the
summit of the watershed to the saddle between the
Hurunui and Teremakau Rivers; towards the South-
west by a right line to the junction of the Arnold
River with Lake Brunner, thence by the Arnold
River to its confluence with the Grey River, thence
along the summit of the Paparoa Ranges to the
watershed between the Punakaiko and Pororari
Rivers, thence along the summit of that watershed
to the sea at the southern headland of the last-named
river; and towards the West by the sea to Heaphy
River, the point of commencement.

Altering Boundaries of Resident Magistrates' Dis-
tricts of Collingwood and Nelson South-West Gold
Fields.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by "The Resident Magistrates Act,
1867," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for
the Governor from time to time, by Proclamation in
the New Zealand Gazette, to constitute throughout
the colony, or in any part thereof, districts to be
called Resident Magistrates' districts, and such
districts from time to time to abolish, and the
boundaries to define and alter, and in any such
Proclamation to fix a time on and from which any
such district shall be constituted or abolished, as
the case may be:
And whereas by Proclamations bearing date the
twenty-ninth day of November, one thousand eight
hundred and sixty-seven, and the twenty-eighth
day of February, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-seven, His Excellency the Governor, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
so vested in him, did proclaim and constitute the
Districts of Collingwood and Nelson South-West
Gold Fields, as described in the said Proclamations
respectively, to be Resident Magistrates' districts
