BAYLOR LANGMUIR, of Caversham, near
Dunedin, Otago, Widow, WILLIAM LANGMUIR
and JAMES LANGMUIR, of Caversham, Gardeners,
AGNES SMYTH, Wife of WILLIAM SMYTH, of
Caversham, Taxidermist, MARGARET LANG-
MUIR, of Caversham, Teacher, JOHN LANGMUIR
of Dunedin, Surveyor, and JANE LANGMUIR, of
Caversham, Spinster, claiming as Devisee under
the Will of JOHN LANGMUIR, late of Caversham,
Gardener, deceased, have made application to the
District Land Registrar of the District of Otago to
be registered as Proprietors in fee-simple of part of
Section 21, Block VII., Town District, comprised
in Certificate of Title Register Book, Vol. XX.,
folio 281; and that the said Margaret Baylor Lang-
muir, William Langmuir, James Langmuir, Agnes
Smyth, Margaret Langmuir, John Langmuir, and
Jane Langmuir will be so registered as such pro-
prietors unless caveat be lodged at this office forbid-

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-
RACE.

To the Warden and Mining Registrar at Havelock.
Pelorus, 11th April, 1878.

I
HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct
a Water-race to divert and use water for mining
purposes, commencing at a point in Deep Creek,
head of Peter Smith's race, and terminating
at the junction of Deep Creek with Wakamarino.
The length of such race is four miles or thereabouts,
and its intended course is N.E. by S.W. or there-

abouts. The time necessary for the construction
thereof is six months.

The mean depth of such race is four feet, and the
mean breadth is four feet, and it is proposed to divert
ten Government heads of water.

Applicant: Hugh Owen.

Date and No. of miner's right: 8702, 1878.

Any person objecting to the granting of this appli-
cation must lodge his objection in writing at the
Warden's Office at Havelock, within fourteen clear
days from the date hereof.

Hearing at 11 o'clock, on the 13th May, 1878.

OTICE is hereby given that I have registered a
Memorandum and Articles of Association esta-
blishing a company with limited liability of its share-
holders, intituled

"THE PATEA STEAM SHIPPING COMPANY (Limited),"

the objects of which are "the conveyance of pas-
sengers and goods in ships or boats between such
places as the Company may from time to time deter-
mine," and that I have issued a Certificate of Incor-
poration of the said Company bearing date the 24th
day of April, 1878.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF COPARTNERSHIP.

OTICE is hereby given that the Copartnership
hitherto subsisting between us, the undersigned
HENRY TOOMER, HENRY WILLIAM TOOMER, and
EPHRAIM TOOMER, carrying on business at Lichfield
Street, in the City of Christchurch, as Boot and Shoe
Manufacturers, under the style or firm of "Henry
Toomer and Sons," has been dissolved by mutual
consent, as from the thirty-first day of March last.

All moneys owing to or by the late firm will be
received and paid by the said Henry William Toomer
and Ephraim Toomer, who will in future carry on the
business at Lichfield Street aforesaid, under the style
or firm of "Toomer Brothers and Co."
