Native Title extinguished.

I T is hereby notified that the Native title has been
extinguished over the block of land whereof
the boundaries are mentioned or described in the
Schedule hereunto annexed.

SCHEDULE.

PROVINCIAL DISTRICT OF AUCKLAND, MATAPOURI
BLOCK.

ALL the parcel of land in the Opuawhanga and
Whangarei Districts, known as the Matapouri Block,
containing 4,707 acres, more or less. Bounded to-
wards the North and East by the sea; towards the
South by the Tutukaka Harbour and by a line, 5800
links; towards the South-west and West by lines,
35043 links, and by the Opuawhanga No. 3 Block,
230 links; and towards the North-west by the
Opuawhanga No. 3 Block aforesaid, 12700 links, to
the sea, the point of commencement. Excluding
therefrom the two Native reserves "Parangarau"
and "Otito," respectively 800 acres and 62 acres.

In re "The Public Payments without Probate Act,
1869."

U NDER the provisions of "The Public Payments
without Probate Act, 1869," and the regula-
tions made thereunder, published in the New Zealand
Gazette of 1870, page 212, the Colonial Treasurer
intends to make a payment of money, due to the
deceased, to a person not being his legal
representative. All persons objecting to such pay-
ment being made must give notice to the Colonial
Treasurer, at Wellington, within one calendar month
from the date of the Gazette bearing this notice, when
their objections will be considered.

Notification of Resignation of Seat in the House of
Representatives for the Electoral District of Grey
Valley.

I N compliance with the provisions of the thirteenth
section of "The Regulation of Elections Act,
1870," I hereby notify that Martin Kennedy, Esquire,
has resigned his seat in the House of Representatives
for the Electoral District of Grey Valley, and that
his resignation was received by me on the 16th day
of April, 1878; and that the said seat is vacant by
reason of such resignation.
