Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act,
do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Provincial District of Canterbury, described in
the Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in
the said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Provincial District of Canter-
bury, containing by admeasurement three (3) roods,
more or less, being Section numbered two thousand
two hundred and seventy-seven (2277) (in red).
Bounded towards the North-east by South Street for
a distance of three (3) chains; towards the North-
west by Crown lands for a distance of two (2) chains
fifty (50) links; towards the South-west by Crown
lands for a distance of three (3) chains; and towards
the South-east by Williams Street for a distance of
two (2) chains fifty (50) links: as the same is deli-
neated on the plans deposited in the Provincial Dis-
trict Survey Office, Christchurch. As a site for a
public pound.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this twenty-second day of
March, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-eight.

HEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is
enacted that the Governor may from time to time,
either by general or particular description, and
whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve
from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same
may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown
lands which in his opinion are required for any of
the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act,
do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Provincial District of Otago, described in the

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Otago, in the Colony of New Zealand, being Sections
numbered respectively forty-two (42), forty-three
(43), and forty-four (44), Block one (I.), Township
of Macrae's, and containing by admeasurement three
(3) roods, more or less. Bounded towards the North-
east by Hyde Street, three hundred (300) links;
towards the South-east by Section numbered 41, two
hundred and fifty (250) links; towards the South-
west by a line running parallel to Hyde Street, three
hundred (300) links; and towards the North-west
by Section numbered 45, two hundred and fifty (250)
links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less, as
the same is delineated on the map deposited in the
Survey Office, Dunedin. For a police reserve.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this twenty-eighth day of
March, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-eight.

the Provincial District of Otago, containing by ad-
measurement two (2) roods and four (4) poles, more
or less, being Sections numbered four (4) and five
(5), Block twelve (XII.), Campbelltown. Bounded
towards the North by Sections Nos. 1, 6, and 3, two
hundred and sixty-eight (268) links; towards the
South-east by Section No. 7, Block I., Campbelltown
Hundred, two hundred and seventy-six (276) links;
towards the South by Foyle Street, one hundred and
fifty-one (151) links; and towards the West by Lee
Street, two hundred and fifty (250) links: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less, as the same is deli-
neated on the plan deposited in the Survey Office,
Invercargill. For Harbour Board offices.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this twenty-eighth day of
March, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-eight.

Warden's Court to be held at Greymouth, instead of
at Cobden.

HEREAS by the one hundred and first section
of "The Mines Act, 1877," it is, amongst
other things, enacted that any Warden's Court may be
held in any convenient place to be fixed by the
Governor, whether within or without the boundaries
of the district for which such Warden's Court is
constituted: And whereas it is expedient that the
Warden's Court for the Nelson South-West Gold
Fields Mining District, heretofore held at Cobden,
should henceforth be held at Greymouth :
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred upon me by the said recited
Act, do hereby declare that, from and after the
first day of April next, the Warden's Court for the
Nelson South-West Gold Fields Mining District,
heretofore held at Cobden, shall be held at Grey-
mouth.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this twenty-eighth day of
March, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-eight,
