Revocation of Authorities to E. H. Bold for taking
and laying down Roads.

NORMANBY, Governor.

WHEREAS under the provisions of "The Native
Lands Act, 1873," and "The Crown Grants
Act, 1866," respectively, authorities have been from
time to time issued to EDWARD HENRY BOLD, Dis-
trict Engineer, of Napier, to take and lay down roads
over certain lands specified in the Schedules annexed
to the warrants conveying such authorities:

And whereas it is necessary to revoke all authori-
ties heretofore issued to the said Edward Henry
Bold in that respect :

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of all
powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf,
do hereby revoke all authorities issued to the said
Edward Henry Bold, under the above-mentioned Acts
or either of them, for the purpose of taking and
laying down roads.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this thirteenth day of March,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.

Pilotage Rates, Port of Poverty Bay.

NORMANBY, Governor.

WHEREAS by "The Marine Act, 1867," it is,
among other things, enacted that the Governor
may fix the pilotage rates which shall be payable at
each port, not being greater than the rates specified
in the Schedule to the said Act; and whereas it is
expedient to fix pilotage rates for the Port of Poverty
Bay:

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
the Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of New
Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the power
and authority vested in me by the said Act, do
hereby fix the rates set forth in the Schedule hereto
as and to be the pilotage rates to be levied and taken
at the Port of Poverty Bay; and I declare that the
said pilotage rates shall be levied and taken on and
after the first day of April, one thousand eight hun-
dred and seventy-eight.

Defining Limits of Port of Waitapu.

NORMANBY, Governor.

IN pursuance of the power and authority in me
vested by the seventh section of "The Marine
Act, 1867," I, George Augustus Constantine, Mar-
quis of Normanby, the Governor of New Zealand,

do hereby define the limits of the Port of Waitapu,
in the County of Collingwood and Provincial Dis-
trict of Nelson, to be all the navigable waters in-
cluded within a radius of six nautic miles from the
southern end of the embanked road leading to Wai-
tapu Wharf.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this thirteenth day of March,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.

Gold-Mining Leases to be granted.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations
made under that Act for the granting of leases for
gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is
intended to grant leases for gold-mining purposes of
Crown lands to the applicants specified in the annexed
Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections
against such leases.

Objections to granting such leases, stating the
grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and
lodged with the Warden, at Havelock, on or before
the 16th day of April, 1878.

Copies of the applications made and plans annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Havelock.

SCHEDULE.

CHARLES H. TURNER. Style under which it is
intended to conduct the business: "Albion Gold-
Mining Company." 16 acres, in the Ravenscliff
Mining District.

CHARLES H. TURNER. Style under which it is
intended to conduct the business: "Queen Charlotte
Gold-Mining Company." 11 acres 2 roods 20
perches, in the Ravenscliff Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this
sixteenth day of March, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-eight.

Williams has reported that he has appointed
WILLIAM MATHEW HODGKINS, Esq.,
to be Revising Officer for the Electoral Districts of
City of Dunedin, Waitaki, Dunstan, Mount Ida,
Waikouaiti, Port Chalmers, Roslyn, Caversham,
Taieri, Bruce (or Tokomairiro), Tuapeka, Clutha,
Wakatipu, and Wakaia.
