"The Gold-Mining Districts Act, 1873," for granting leases for
agricultural purposes within the Ohinemuri Block, I hereby
make application for a lease of land, the position of which is
shown on sketch plan annexed, whereof the particulars are
hereunder written; and I deposit herewith the receipt of the
Receiver of Gold Revenue for the sum of five pounds, and
agree to pay any further expenses which may be incurred in
respect of this application in accordance with the said Regula-
tions.

quired to be given respecting the above application may be
served, and where, if so served, I will consider them served on
myself personally.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the same
has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale tempora-
rily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held
under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his
opinion are required for any of the purposes in the
said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act,
do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Provincial District of Auckland described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the
said Schedule specified.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Auckland, containing by admeasurement two (2)
roods six (6) perches, more or less, being Allotment
numbered two hundred and sixty-one (261) of Section
numbered one (1), of the Town of Tauranga, Parish
of Te Papa. Bounded towards the North-east by a
street, two hundred and seventy (270) links; towards
the South-east by a street, two hundred (200) links;
towards the South-west by a street two hundred and
seventy (270) links; and towards the North-west by
a street, two hundred (200) links. As a site for
Government buildings.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Auckland, containing by admeasurement seven (7)
acres one (1) rood twenty-one (21) perches, more or
less, being Allotment numbered two hundred and
seventy-three (273) of Section numbered one (1), of
the Town of Tauranga, Parish of Te Papa. Bounded
towards the North by a street, one thousand and
ninety-eight (1098) links; towards the East by a
street, seven hundred and eleven (711) links; towards
the South by a street, nine hundred and fifty-seven
(957) links; and towards the West by a line, seven
hundred and twenty-five (725) links. As a recreation
ground.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Auckland, containing by admeasurement twenty
(20) perches, more or less, being Allotment num-
bered two hundred and fifty-nine (259) of Section
numbered one (1), of the Town of Tauranga, Parish
of Te Papa. Bounded towards the North-east by
Allotment No. 258, one hundred and thirty-five (135)
links; towards the South-east by a street, ninety-
three (93) links; towards the South-west by Allot-
ment No. 260, one hundred and thirty-five (135)

links; and towards the North-west by Allotment
No. 253, ninety-three (93) links. As a site for a
library.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Auckland, containing by admeasurement one (1)
rood nine (9) perches, more or less, being Allotments
numbered two (2), three (3), six (6), and seven (7)
of Section numbered one (1), of the Town of Taura-
ga, Parish of Te Papa. Bounded towards the North-
east by a street, one hundred and fifty (150) links;
towards the South-east by Allotment No. 24, two
hundred and ten (210) links; towards the South-west
by a street, one hundred and fifty (150) links; and
towards the North-west by Allotments Nos. 5 and 4,
two hundred (200) links. As a site for a Native
hostelry.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Auckland, containing by admeasurement two (2)
roods, more or less, being the Allotments numbered
eighty-three (83) and eighty-four (84) of Section
numbered two (2), of the Town of Tauranga, Parish
of Te Papa. Bounded towards the North by Allot-
ment No. 82, two hundred and thirty-six (236) links;
towards the East by Allotments Nos. 81 and 86, two
hundred and twelve (212) links; towards the South
by Allotment No. 85, two hundred and thirty-six
(236) links; and towards the West by a street, two
hundred and twelve (212) links. As a site for a
public pound.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Auckland, containing by admeasurement twelve
(12) acres two (2) roods, more or less, being Allot-
ment numbered fifty-eight (58), of the Suburbs of
Tauranga, Parish of Te Papa. Bounded towards the
North-east by a street, one thousand two hundred
and fifty (1250) links; towards the South-east by a
street, one thousand (1000) links; towards the South-
west by a street, one thousand two hundred and
fifty (1250) links; and towards the North-west by
a street, one thousand (1000) links. As a site for a
cemetery.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Auckland, containing by admeasurement two (2)
roods thirty-seven (37) perches, more or less, being
Allotment numbered two hundred and forty-seven
(247) of Section numbered one (1), of the Town of
Tauranga, Parish of Te Papa. Bounded towards the
North-east by a line, three hundred and fifty-one
(351) links; towards the South-east by a street, one
hundred and ninety (190) links; towards the South-
west by a street, three hundred and fifty (350) links;
and towards the North-west by a street, two hun-
dred and thirty (230) links. For public defence
purposes.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Auckland, containing by admeasurement one (1)
acre two (2) roods, more or less, being Allotments
numbered two hundred and seventy-five (275), two
hundred and seventy-six (276), two hundred and
seventy-seven (277), two hundred and eighty (280),
two hundred and eighty-one (281), and two hundred
and eighty-two (282), of Section numbered two (2),
of the Town of Tauranga, Parish of Te Papa. Bounded
towards the North-east by a street, four hundred and
sixty-five (465) links; towards the South-east by
Allotments Nos. 274 and 279, three hundred and
twenty-four (324) links; towards the South-west by
a street, four hundred and sixty-five (465) links; and
towards the North-west by Allotments Nos. 283 and
278, three hundred and twenty-four (324) links. As
a site for a Native school.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this thirteenth day of March,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.
