Land set apart on Deferred Payments in Taranaki.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the fifty-third section of "The
Land Act, 1877," it is enacted that the
Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from
time to time set apart out of any suburban or rural
lands such blocks or allotments of land as he shall
think fit, and set the same aside for sale on deferred
payments, and in such Proclamation may fix a day on
which the land shall be open for application; and
that he may also in like manner set apart for sale on
deferred payments such blocks or allotments as may
be recommended by any Land Board, and may also
from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such
Proclamation:
And whereas the Land Board of Taranaki did, on
the eleventh day of February, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-eight, pass a resolution recom-
mending that the land described in the Schedule
hereto annexed should be set apart for sale on
deferred payments:
And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the
aforesaid recommendation, and to set apart the said
land accordingly:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
power and authority vested in me by the above-
named Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
land described in the Schedule hereto is set apart for
sale on deferred payments; and that Saturday, the
thirteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-eight, shall be the day on which the said
land shall be open for application in allotments, as
surveyed and marked on the survey map in the office
of the Chief Surveyor, New Plymouth.

Boundaries of Land Registrars' Districts of Otago
and Southland altered.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly
of New Zealand, intituled "The Land Transfer
Act 1870 Amendment Act, 1871," it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, as he shall think
fit, by Proclamation published in the Gazette, alter the
boundaries of any Land Registrar's district pro-
claimed or to be proclaimed under the provisions of
"The Land Transfer Act, 1870:"
And whereas the existing boundaries of the Land
Registrars' Districts of Otago and Southland are
respectively declared by sections twenty-four and
twenty-five of the said firstly recited Act, and it is
expedient to alter such boundaries in manner herein-
after appearing:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, in
pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
aforesaid, doth hereby alter the respective boundaries
of the said districts in manner following—that is
to say, the island known as Stewart's Island shall
from and after the date hereof cease to be within the
boundaries of or to form part of the Land Registrar's
District of Otago, and shall, as from the same date, be
within the boundaries of and shall for all purposes of
the said "Land Transfer Act, 1870," be included in
the Land Registrar's District of Southland.
