NOTICE.
Native Lands Court,
Auckland, February 5th, 1878.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council, made on the 17th day of November, 1877, it was ordered by His
Excellency the Governor in Council, under "The Native Land Act, 1873," and "The Native Land
Act, 1874," that the claim of Tamihana Kakano and others to a piece of land called Whareponga, situate
at Whareponga, in the Hawke's Bay District, heard and determined by the Native Land Court of New
Zealand, on the 5th day of April, 1877, at Whareponga, in the said district, should be reheard by the said
Court, and that such rehearing shall take place before the 5th day of April next.
Now I hereby give notice that a sitting of the Native Land Court will be held at Waiomatatini,
Waiapu, on the 21st day of March, 1878, for the rehearing of the afore-mentioned claim.

WHEREAS by an Order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, made on the twenty-fourth day of
July last, it was referred to the Native Land Court to ascertain and determine forthwith the
following issues of fact :-
- To what share, estate, or interest did the plaintiff become entitled in the land in the declaration
mentioned, being all the land comprised in a grant from the Crown, dated the third day of September, one
