Alterations and Additions to the Rates for the Con-
veyance, Delivery, and Storage of Goods, Parcels,
&c., on all the New Zealand Railways.
IN accordance with the By-laws for the New Zea-
land Railways, fixed by Order in Council, dated
the 17th day of April, 1877, the following alterations
and additions to the rates for the conveyance, deli-
very, and storage of goods, parcels, &c., on all the
New Zealand Railways, are hereby declared to be
fixed, and shall come into force from the 25th day of
February, 1878.
POULTRY.
Live fowls, ducks, geese, and poultry of all descrip-
tions must be secured in crates or baskets.
KERBSTONE.
Kerbstone to be carried as Class F, double rates.

within the meaning of the said Act are published for

SEALED tenders will be received at the General
Post Office, Wellington, until noon of Saturday,
the 23rd March, for the conveyance of mails weekly,
by horse, between Ross and Gillespie's Beach, via
Saltwater Beach, Okarito, and Five-Mile Beach, in
the County of Westland.
The service to be for the period commencing 1st
April, 1878, and ending 31st December, 1878.
Forms of tender may be procured from the Chief
Postmaster, Hokitika, or at the Post Office at Ross.
Tenders to be indorsed "Tender for the Ross and
Gillespie's Beach Mail Service," and addressed to
the Postmaster-General, Wellington.
The lowest or any tender will not necessrrily be
accepted.
