Setting apart Lands in Otago for Agricultural Leases. excluding Section numbered 1 of said Block IV.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the fifty-fourth section of "The
Mines Act, 1877," it is, amongst other things,
enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor to
cause Crown lands situate within a gold field to be
selected and set apart for the purpose of granting
agricultural leases thereon and therefor:
And whereas the lands described in the Schedule
hereto are Crown lands subject to be dealt with
under the provisions of the said fifty-fourth section
of "The Mines Act, 1877," and it is deemed expedient
to set the same apart for the purpose of granting
agricultural leases thereon and therefor:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby select and set apart, for the
purpose of granting agricultural leases thereon and
therefor, the lands described in the Schedule hereto,
and do fix the fourth day of March next ensuing, at
Cromwell, as the day and place on which the said
land shall be open for application in allotments, as
surveyed and marked on the survey map in the office
of the Chief Surveyor, Dunedin.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Provincial District of Otago,
containing by admeasurement two thousand and
seventy-four (2,074) acres, more or less, a portion of
Run numbered 245, situate in the Wakefield Sur-
vey District, and being Sections numbered from 2
to 11 inclusive, Block IV., and Section numbered 1,
Block I., on the map of the said survey district,
including all roads intersecting the said area, and
Boundary lines as follow: Commencing at Geo-
desical Trig. Station H; thence due east, four thou-
sand and thirty-two and a half (4032 1/2) links; thence
in a north-easterly direction along the western bank
of the Clutha River, forty thousand six hundred and
sixty-four (40664) links, leaving a mining reserve
between the said river and the south-eastern boundary
of the said area; thence north-west keeping fifty
(50) links south of Amisfield Burn, one thousand
seven hundred and twenty (1720) links; thence in
a south-westerly direction, six thousand six hundred
and sixty-six (6666) links; thence due west, four
thousand one hundred and thirty and a half (4130 1/2)
links; thence in a south-westerly direction, twenty-
nine thousand and eleven (29011) links; thence due
west, five thousand eight hundred and twenty-eight
(5828) links; thence due south to the starting point,
six thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine (6879)
links: be the aforesaid linkages more or less.
All that area in the Provincial District of Otago,
containing by admeasurement one thousand one
hundred and eighty-eight (1,188) acres one (1) rood
and twenty-five (25) poles, more or less, a portion
of Run numbered 236, situate in the Tarras Sur-
vey District, being Sections numbered from 1 to 6
inclusive, Block VII., on the map of the said
survey district, together with all roads inter-
secting the said area. Boundary lines as follow:
Commencing at a point due south from Sub-Trig. A,
and distant therefrom three hundred and fourteen
(314) links; thence due east, twelve thousand five
hundred and two and a half (12502 1/2) links; thence
due south, eight thousand and sixty-three (8063)
links; thence due west, four thousand and forty-
four (4044) links; thence in a north-westerly direc-
tion along the north bank of the Clutha River, four-
