Land temporarily reserved in the Provincial District of Otago.
NORMANBY, Governor.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which in his opinion are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act,
do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Provincial District of Otago described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the
said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Township of Waikaia,
in the Provincial District of Otago, being Block IV.
Bounded towards the North-west by Blaydon Street,
five hundred (500) links; towards the North-east
by Ryton Street, one thousand one hundred (1100)
links; towards the South-east by Scotswood Street,
five hundred (500) links; and towards the South-
west by Wyton Street, one thousand one hundred
(1100) links, and containing by admeasurement five
(5) acres two (2) roods, more or less. For a recrea-
tion-ground.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this fifth day of November,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.

(37) poles, more or less, situate in the Township of
Macrae's, being Section numbered 3, Block IV., on
the map of the said township. Bounded towards the
North-west by Main Street, one hundred and sixteen
and three-tenths (116.3) links; towards the North-
east by Section numbered 2, and part of Section
numbered 10, Block IV., two hundred (200) links;
towards the South-east by Section numbered 8, one
hundred and seventeen and eight-tenths (117.8) links;
and towards the South-west by Section numbered 4,
two hundred (200) links: as the same is delineated on
the plan in the Survey Office, Dunedin. For a public
library and athenæum.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this fifth day of November,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.

or less, being Section numbered 96, Block I., Waita-
huna West District. Bounded towards the North
by part of Section numbered 76, one thousand (1000)
links; towards the East by other part of said Section
numbered 76, one thousand (1000) links; towards
the South by other part of Section numbered 76, one
thousand (1000) links; and towards the West by a
road line, one thousand (1000) links, and connected
with Trig. Station P by a line bearing 264° 12′ (S.W.)
distant nine hundred and sixty-nine and six-tenths
(969.6) links to a point two hundred and one and
seven-tenths (201.7) links from the north-east corner
of said Section 96: as the same is delineated on the
map of the said district in the Survey Office, Dunedin.
For cemetery purposes.

Governor, this sixth day of November,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.
