Land temporarily reserved in the Provincial District
of Otago.

NORMANBY, Governor.

W HEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which in his opinion are required for any of the pur-
poses in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act,
do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Provincial District of Otago described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in the
said Schedule specified.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Otago, containing by admeasurement three (3) roods,
more or less, situate in the Town of Invercargill, and
being Sections numbered seventeen (17), eighteen
(18), and nineteen (19), of Block sixty-six (LXVI.).
Bounded towards the North by Sections Nos. 4, 5,
and 6 of said block; towards the East by Section
No. 16 of said block; towards the South by Yarrow
Street; and towards the West by Section No. 20 of
said block: as the same is delineated on the plans
deposited in the District Survey Office, Invercargill.
For a high school.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this fifth day of November,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.

Bounded towards the North by Ettrick Street;
towards the East by Section No. 7 of said block;
towards the South by Section No. 17 of said block;
again towards the East by said Section No. 17; again
towards the South by Bowmont Street; and towards
the West by Sections Nos. 21 and 2 of said block: as
the same is delineated on the plans deposited in the
District Survey Office, Invercargill. Together with
all that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Otago, containing by admeasurement two (2) roods,
more or less, situate in the Town of Invercargill, and
being Sections numbered fifteen (15) and sixteen
(16) of Block forty-eight (XLVIII.). Bounded
towards the North by Sections Nos. 7 and 8 of said
block; towards the East by Section No. 14 of said
block; towards the South by Bowmont Street; and
towards the West by Section No. 17 of said block: as
the same is delineated on the plans deposited in the
District Survey Office, Invercargill. For a recreation-
ground.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this fifth day of November,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.
