of Auckland.
NORMANBY, Governor.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which in his opinion are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act,
do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Provincial District of Auckland described in
the Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in
the said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, being Lot 41, of Suburban Section 2,
Parish of Mangatawhiri, Opaheke Survey District,
containing 15 acres 1 rood, more or less. For school-
house and teacher's residence.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this thirtieth day of October,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.

NORMANBY, Governor.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth

and a half (57\u00bd) acres, more or less, being the Town
Reserve on the plan of the Township of Featherston.
Bounded towards the North by Rural Section No.
66, the abutment of a public road, and Suburban
Section No. 120, 1700 links; towards the East by
Town Sections Nos. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35,
53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, and 62, and the
abutments of Hart Street, Revans Street, Fox
Street, Bell Street, and Harrison Street, and by the
north side of Fox Street, 5600 links; towards the
South by the main line of road from Wellington to
Featherston, 650 links; and towards the West by
Suburban Section No. 464, and by Rural Section
No. 516, 4803 links. For a recreation-ground.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this thirtieth day of October,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.

Revoking Notice withdrawing Land from Sale in
the Provincial District of Canterbury.
NORMANBY, Governor.
WHEREAS by notice under my hand, issued in
pursuance of the one hundred and sixty-
seventh section of "The Land Act, 1877," and dated
the fourth day of July, one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-eight, the land described in the Schedule
hereto was withdrawn from sale as a proposed endow-
ment for the Milford Harbour:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, do hereby annul and revoke the
notice aforesaid.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Provincial District of Canter-
bury, containing by estimation forty thousand
(40,000) acres, more or less. Bounded towards the
North by a right line due East from the issue of the
Tekapo River from the Tekapo Lake, five hundred
(500) chains; towards the East by a right line due
South, six hundred and forty (640) chains; towards
the South by a right line due West to the Tekapo
River, six hundred and forty (640) chains; and to-
wards the West by the Tekapo River to Tekapo Lake,
the starting point, excepting therefrom pre-emptive
rights and sold land.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this first day of November,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight.
