Harbour and Blueskin Survey Districts, and re-
quired to be taken from Her Majesty the Queen.
All that piece of land in the Silver Peak and
North Harbour and Blueskin Survey Districts, in
the Provincial District of Otago, and Colony of New
Zealand, and containing by admeasurement seven
thousand three hundred [7300] acres, more or less,
with all appurtenances thereto belonging, and
bounded as follows: Commencing at Trigonometrical
Station U on the eastern boundary of the Silver
Peak Survey District, thence in a northerly direction
and bearing of 0º along the eastern boundary of said
district and running for a distance of two thousand
eight hundred [2800] links, thence in a westerly
direction and bearing of 270º and running for a
distance of three thousand eight hundred [3800]
links, thence in a south-westerly direction and bear-
ing of 37° 6' 37" and running for a distance of nine-
teen thousand two hundred and seventeen [19217]
links and nine-tenths [9-10] of a link to Trigono-
metrical Station D in the Silver Peak Survey District,
thence in a south-westerly direction and bearing of
82° 46′ 18" and running for a distance of twelve
thousand five hundred and ninety-nine [12599] links
and one-tenth [1-10] of a link to Trigonometrical
Station B in the Silver Peak Survey District, thence
in a south-westerly direction and bearing of 82° 46′
18" and running for a distance of nine hundred and
forty-eight [948] links and five-tenths [5-10] of a
link, thence in a southerly direction and bearing of
0º and running for a distance of thirteen thousand
four hundred aud fifty-seven [13457] links and one-
tenth [1-10] of a link to the southern boundary of
the said Silver Peak District, thence along said
boundary in an easterly direction and bearing of
270° and running for a distance of thirteen thousand
seven hundred and six [13706] links and seven-tenths
[7-10] of a link, thence along said boundary in a
south-easterly direction and bearing of 102° 45' and
running for a distance of three hundred [300] links,
thence along said boundary in a north-easterly direc-
tion and bearing of 89° 45′ and running for a distance
of eight thousand and sixty-three [8063] links and
four-tenths [4-10] of a link, thence in a north-easterly
direction and bearing of 51° 15' and running for a
distance of six thousand one hundred and eighty
[6180] links and eight-tenths [8-10] of a link to
Trigonometrical Station Q in the said Silver Peak
Survey District, thence in a north-easterly direction
and bearing of 51º 15' crossing the dividing line of
the Silver Peak and North Harbour and Blueskin
Survey Districts and running for a distance of nine-
teen thousand one hundred and sixty-nine [19169]
links and four-tenths [4-10] of a link, thence in a
northerly direction and bearing of 0º and running for
a distance of seven thousand one hundred and fifty-
three [7153] links and four-tenths [4-10] of a link,
thence in a westerly direction and bearing of 270º
and running for a distance of ten thousand [10000]
links, thence in a northerly direction and bearing of
0º and running for a distance of four thousand seven
hundred [4700] links along the eastern boundary of
the Silver Peak Survey District, thence in a westerly
direction and bearing of 270° and running for a
distance of three thousand [3000] links along part of
northern boundary of said Silver Peak Survey District
to Trigonometrical Station U the point of commence-
ment; and as the same is delineated on plan number
twenty-two [22] hereunto annexed and coloured red.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the eighth section of "The Canter-
bury Public Domains Act, 1872," it is enacted
that the Superintendent of Canterbury, with the
advice and consent of his Executive Council, may,
by Proclamation under his hand, from time to time
delegate all or any of the powers thereby conferred
upon him acting as aforesaid to any person or per-
sons for any period, and subject to such stipulations,
conditions, and limitations as may be specified in
such Proclamation, and every such delegation may
from time to time in like manner alter or revoke:
And whereas by a Proclamation dated the fifth day
of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
six, published in the Canterbury Provincial Gazette,
Volume XXIII., No. XVII., page 109, the Superin-
tendent of the Province of Canterbury, with the
advice of his Executive Council, delegated unto
certain persons therein named, and called "The
Canterbury Public Domains Board," all the powers
conferred by the hereinbefore recited Act: And
whereas by "The Abolition of Provinces Act, 1875,"
the powers, duties, and functions vested in the Super-
intendent and his Executive Council under the said
eighth section are now vested in the Governor:
And whereas it is expedient to alter the said Procla-
mation, so far as regards the delegation to the
persons therein mentioned, of the powers thereby
delegated:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by "The Canterbury Public
Domains Act, 1872," and "The Abolition of Pro-
vinces Act, 1875," do hereby alter the said Proclama-
tion so far as regards the delegation to the persons
therein mentioned of the powers conferred by the
said "Canterbury Public Domains Act, 1872," and I
do hereby delegate, in respect of the lands contained
in the Schedule to "The Canterbury Public Domains
Act, 1872," all the powers conferred by the said Act
to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be known
as "The Canterbury Public Domains Board," viz.,-

EDWARD WILLIAM STAFFORD,
WILLIAM ROLLESTON,
THOMAS HENRY POTTS,
subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained :---
- None of the powers delegated shall be exercised
in respect of the ground occupied by the building
known as the Canterbury Museum, or by any build-
ing pertaining thereto which has been or may here-
after be erected in connection therewith by the
authority of the Superintendent of the Province of
Canterbury or Governor, or to such enclosures in
connection therewith as may be approved by the
Board and the Governor. - The Trustees of the said Museum, and their
officers and servants, shall at all times have the right
of ingress and egress to and from the said Museum
at such times as shall be determined by the said
Trustees. - The Board shall meet at such times and places
as shall be from time to time appointed by the Chair-
man, or when it shall be convened by him, and the
business shall be conducted under such regulations
as shall be determined on by the Board. - The Board shall keep proper minutes and records
of its proceedings, and full accounts of its receipts
and expenditure; and a yearly statement of the same,
together with a general report of its proceedings,
shall be forwarded to the Governor once in every
year. - This delegation of powers to the Board shall not
in any way affect any lease or contract now in force
between the Superintendent and any person or per-
sons in respect of any portion of the lands named in
