THE following notice, received from His Worship
the Mayor of West Harbour, is published for
general information, in accordance with section 145
of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876."

West Harbour, 11th October, 1878.

SIR,-I have the honor to forward for your infor-
mation, in accordance with the one hundred and
forty-fifth clause of "The Municipal Corporations
Act, 1876," the result of a poll taken at the Borough
Chambers, West Harbour, on the 10th of October,
1878, on the proposal to raise a special loan of five
thousand pounds (£5,000) sterling:-
Votes for the proposal 52
Votes against proposal 41
Vote informal 1

The proposal was consequently declared carried, in
accordance with clauses 143 and 144 of the afore-
named Act.
