A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the twelfth section of "The Waste Lands Administration Act, 1876," it is enacted that
it shall be lawful for the Governor from time to time to make out of any of the waste lands of the
Crown provisional reserves for educational purposes of a public character in manner as in the said section
is set forth:
And whereas the lands specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto were, by the several Pro-
clamations specified in the third column of the said Schedule gazetted as in the fourth column specified,
provisionally reserved by the Governor under the authority of the said recited Act for the purposes specified
in the second column of the said Schedule:
And whereas copies of such Proclamations, with plans and descriptions of each provisional reserve, were
laid upon the table of each House of the General Assembly during the last session thereof, as required by
the said Act, and no resolution of both Houses has been passed with respect to such provisional reserves:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the above recited Act,
do hereby proclaim that the provisional reserves so proclaimed, and particulars whereof are specified in the
Schedule hereto, have not been disapproved by either of the two Houses of the General Assembly.
