Zealand, Iron Merchant, has made application to the
District Land Registrar of the District of Otago, to
be registered as proprietor of an estate of freehold
as tenant by the curtesy of Allotments numbered
respectively 19 and 20 on the plan of the Township
of Silverton, in the said Provincial District, deposited
in the office of the Registrar of Deeds, at Dunedin;
and that the said Robert Scholfield Haworth will
be so registered as such proprietor of an estate
of freehold as tenant by the curtesy, unless caveat
be lodged at this office within one calendar month

the Queen's University in Ireland, and Member
of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, now

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Waitaki County
Council intend taking Land for a Road, of which
the following is a general description:--The portion
of road referred to commences at a point 58.6 links
on a south-west bearing of 208 deg. 37 min. from the
south-east corner of Allotment 6, Block XII., Town
of Maheno, passes through Allotments 4, 5, 6, and 7,
Block XII., Maheno, and Allotment 51, extension of
Maheno; and terminates at a point on the south-
eastern side of railway, distant about 240 links on a
north-east bearing of 25 deg. 41 min. from the
north-eastern corner of Allotment 41, said extension
of Maheno. Total area taken is 1 rood 35.2 perches.
Allotments owned respectively by Mrs. E. De Carle,
H. Crawford, John Newlands, and F. Hubbard.

The plan and general description of the above road
can be seen at the Railway Station, Maheno, and all
persons affected thereby must set forth in writing
any well-grounded objections to the taking of such
land or the execution of such works, and must send
such writing within forty days from the date hereof
to the office of the Waitaki County Council.
