THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
to raise a sum of Β£100,000 by way of special loan,
with power to levy a special rate as a guarantee for
payment of interest thereon, and for the creation of
a sinking fund for gradual payment of the said
principal sum, and calling a meeting of the bur-
gesses of the said City, to be held on Monday, the
23rd day of July last, for the purposes therein also
mentioned; and with reference also to the poll of
the said burgesses, taken on the 6th day of August
last, in the manner provided by the 142nd section of
the said Act, after the holding of such meeting as
aforesaid,-I, the undersigned, as Mayor of the
Borough of Wellington, do hereby give you notice
that the result of the said polling was in favour of
the proposal made to borrow the said sum of one
hundred thousand pounds (Β£100,000) for the pur-
poses and in the manner in the said notification set
forth; and further, that, as such Mayor as aforesaid,
I have declared the resolution in favour of such
proposal to be carried.

This notice is given to you under the 145th
section of the above-mentioned Act.
