powers vested in me by "The Canterbury
Roads Ordinance, 1872," and "The Abolition of
Provinces Act, 1875," I, George Augustus Constan-
tine, Marquis of Normanby, Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the appointment
made by me on the sixteenth day of August, 1877, pub-
lished in the New Zealand Gazette, page 832, of the
place for holding the first election of members for the
Acton Road District, and the polling place for such
district; and I appoint the Post Office at Rakaia to be
the place for holding such election, and the polling
