appoint
PHILIP BAKER BOULTON, Esq.,
Chief Inspector of Sheep for the Provincial District
of Canterbury, to be Registrar of Brands, Stamps, or
Buists for the same provincial district.

THE under-mentioned Deeds of Grant, having been
duly executed, are now ready for delivery at
this office, under the authority of "The Crown
Grants Act, 1866," and "The Crown Grants Amend-
ment Act, 1867."
A fee of sixpence is chargeable on each Crown
Grant for every month during which it shall remain
in this office after the expiration of three months
from the date of this notice.
In cases where it is impossible for the party
entitled to receive the Grant to attend in person, it
will be delivered to the bearer of an authority in the
subjoined form, certified by a Magistrate or by a
Solicitor of the Supreme Court.

PURSUANT to the provisions of an Act of the
General Assembly of New Zealand, passed in
the eighteenth year of the reign of Her Majesty
Queen Victoria, and intituled "The Marriage Act,
1854," the following name of an Officiating Minister,
within the meaning of the said Act, is published for
general information:--

WELLINGTON DISTRICT.
Between HENRY HURLEY, Plaintiff, and STEPHEN
NEARY, Defendant.
I HEREBY give notice, that by virtue of a writ of
fieri facias issued out of the above honorable
Court, and to me directed, I have caused my Bailiff to
enter upon all that piece of land, being the Section
numbered 875, part of Suburban Block 38, on the
plan of the suburbs of the Town of Wanganui, con-
taining one rood (which section of land was formerly
designated by the letter "G" on a plan of a subdivision
of the said block for the purposes of sale), which
piece of land is distant from the junction of Plymouth
and Bell Streets 500 links, and is bounded on three
sides by other parts of said Block 38, and on the
other side by Bell Street 100 links; together with the
appurtenances the property of the defendant (subject
to a mortgage to the Wanganui Equitable Land
Building and Invesment Society), having been taken
in execution at the suit of the execution creditor
herein; and that it is my intention to sell or cause to
be sold the freehold interest (if any) of the defend-
ant in the said piece of land (subject to such mort-
gage) by public auction, at the Court House, Wa-
nganui, on Tuesday, the twenty-fifth day of September,
1877, at 12 o'clock noon, unless satisfaction be sooner
made of the said judgment, and all costs and expenses
connected therewith. And I further give notice that
Matthew Vere Hodge, of Wanganui, is solicitor for
the plaintiff.
Given under my hand, at Wanganui, this twelfth
day of June, 1877.

PARTNERSHIP NOTICE.
THE Partnership hitherto subsisting between
JOSEPH ORAM SHEPPARD and EDWIN COOKSON,
trading as Hotelkeepers at the Garrick Hotel,
Christchurch, under the style or firm of "Sheppard
and Cookson," was dissolved on the 31st day of July
last by mutual consent.
All accounts owing to or by the late firm will be
received or paid by Mr. Edwin Cookson, who will in
future carry on the business on his own account.
Dated this eighth day of August, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-seven.
