Provisional Reserve for Educational Purposes in the
Provincial District of Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the twelfth section of "The Waste
Lands Administration Act, 1876," it is enacted
that it shall be lawful for the Governor from time
to time to make out of any Waste Lands of the Crown
provisional reserves for educational purposes of a
public character, in manner as in the said section is
set forth:
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the authority vested in
me by the above-named Act, and of all other powers
and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the parcel of land described
in the Schedule hereto annexed is provisionally re-
served and set apart for educational purposes of a
public character, subject to the terms and conditions
of the aforesaid twelfth section of the above-named
Act.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Wellington, containing by admeasurement 108 acres
3 roods 5 perches, more or less, being part of the
Section numbered 46 on the plan of Mauriceville.
Bounded towards the North-east by a public road
2100 links, and by other part of Section No. 46,
reserved for a cemetery, 1000 links; towards the
South-east by Section No. 47 1200 links and 2000
links, and by other part of Section No. 46, reserved
for a cemetery, 1000 links; towards the South-west
by other part of Section No. 46, reserved for a
cemetery, 1000 links, and by Section No. 66 2729
links; and towards the North-west by a public road
400 links, 680 links, 600 links, and 3020 links, be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less.
Given under the hand of His Excellency
the Most Honorable George Augustus
Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, the
Earl of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby,
and Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in
the County of York, in the Peerage of
the United Kingdom; and Baron Mul-
grave of New Ross, in the County of
Wexford, in the Peerage of Ireland; a
Member of Her Majesty's Most Honor-
able Privy Council; Knight Grand Cross
of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint
Michael and Saint George; Governor
and Commander-in-Chief in and over
Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand
and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal
of the said Colony, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this sixteenth
day of August, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
seven.
