SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land at Whangarei, in the
District of Whangarei, in the Provincial District of
Auckland, and called or known by the name of Pehia-
were, containing by admeasurement two hundred
and eighty-nine acres, be the same more or less,
bounded on the North-west by a line 4328 links; on
the North-east by a line 4860 links; on the South-
east by lines 556 links and 4974 links to the Manga-
kino River; on the South-west by the Mangakino
River, and by lines 658 links, 745 links, 438 links,
and 1913 links to the line first above mentioned.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
sixteenth day of January, 1877.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by "The Maori Real Estate Manage-
ment Act, 1867," it is enacted, that if any
title to or interest in any hereditaments shall accrue
to any Maoris, who or any of whom shall be infants,
lunatics, or under legal disability, it shall be lawful
for the Governor in Council, if he think fit, to order
that such hereditaments, or any part thereof or
interest therein as shall to the Governor in Council
be shown to belong to such infant, lunatic, or other
person under legal disability, shall be vested in
trustees, as the Governor in Council shall think fit:
And whereas by virtue of a Crown grant bearing
date the twenty-sixth day of September, one thou-
sand eight hundred and seventy, the parcel of land
and hereditaments described in the Schedule hereto
became vested in Wheoro Maka and others, of the
District of Coromandel, in the Province of Auck-
land, aboriginal natives of New Zealand:
And whereas the said Wheoro Maka died intes-
tate:
And whereas at a sitting of the Native Land Court
held at Kapanga, in the province aforesaid, on the
twenty-ninth day of October, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-three, Wiremu te Tarapa
claimed to succeed to the said Wheoro Maka in the
parcel of land described in the said Schedule:
And it was ordered by the said Court that Tareha
Matini Kahutopuni, an infant under the age of
twenty-one years, should succeed to the interest of
the said Wheoro Maka in the hereditaments afore-
said:
And it is expedient that Edward Walter Puckey,
Esq., and Harata Patene, of Hauraki, be appointed
trustees under the said Act on behalf of the said
Tareha Matini Kahutopuni:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the Colony, in exercise and in
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in
him by the said Act, doth hereby order that the
interest and share of the said Tareha Matini in the
land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and
remain vested in
EDWARD WALTER PUCKEY, Esq., and
HARATA PATENE, of Hauraki,
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Province of Auckland,
in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by ad-
measurement nine hundred and thirty-three acres,
more or less, situate at Whitianga, in the District of
Coromandel, Queen's County, being called or known
by the name of "Te Whakau," and numbered one
thousand seven hundred and twenty-five (1725),
bounded towards the North-east by lines, 4049 links,
2814 links; towards the East by the Whitianga
River, by the Karamuramu Block 5340 links, 1712
links, and 2546 links, by the Wharetangata Block
2795 links, and by the Puahape Block 1130 links;
towards the South by the Tomuia Block 3300 links,
by the Waitotara Stream, by the Weiti River, and
by a line 4260 links; and towards the North-west
by a line 15423 links.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by "The Waste Lands Act, 1858," it
is enacted that it shall be lawful for the
Governor in Council, at any time and from time to
time, to except from sale, and either reserve to Her
Majesty or dispose of in such other manner as for
the public interest may seem best, such of the waste
lands of the Crown in any of the provinces
of the colony as may be required for the purposes of
military defence, or for the construction of trunk
lines of road, or as sites for public buildings for the
use of the General Government, or for other pur-
poses of public utility or convenience:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the Colony, in exercise and pursuance of
the power and authority in that behalf vested in him,
doth hereby except from sale and reserve to Her
Majesty the parcel of the waste lands of the Crown
particularly specified and described in the Schedule
hereunder written, for the purpose in the said Schedule
mentioned, and set opposite the description of the
said parcel of land.
