Lands declared to be Waste Lands of the Crown in
the Land District of Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the seventeenth section of "The
Waste Lands Administration Act, 1876," it
is enacted that whenever the Governor is satisfied
that any lands purchased out of the sums authorized
under "The Immigration and Public Works Act,
1870," and any Act amending the same, to be issued
and expended in the purchase of lands in the North
Island of New Zealand, are free from Native claims
and all difficulties in connection therewith, he shall
by Proclamation declare such lands to be waste
lands of the Crown, subject, except as thereafter in
the said Act provided, to be sold and dealt with
according to the provisions of the laws regulating
the sale and disposal of waste lands of the Crown
for the time being in force in the land district in
which such land is situated; and thereupon such land
so proclaimed shall become subject to such provi-
sions:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule
hereto has been purchased out of the sums authorized
under "The Immigration and Public Works Act,
1870," and Acts amending the same, and it is ex-
pedient that the said land should be declared to be
waste lands of the Crown:

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, being satisfied that the lands de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto are free from Native
claims and all difficulties in connection therewith, in
pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
vested in me by "The Waste Lands Administration
Act, 1876," do hereby proclaim and declare the said
lands to be Waste Lands of the Crown, subject to be
sold and dealt with according to the provisions of
the laws regulating the sale and disposal of waste
lands of the Crown in force in the Land District of
Auckland.

SCHEDULE.
ARAKIORE NO. 2.

ALL that parcel of land at Kaukapakapa, in the
District of Kaipara, in the Provincial District of
Auckland, known by the name of Arakiore No. 2,
containing by admeasurement four hundred and fifty-
two (452) acres, or thereabouts. Bounded towards
the North by the Kaukapakapa South Block seven
hundred and forty-five (745) links and twelve thousand
five hundred and seventy (12570) links; towards
the South-east by the Tikokopu Block two thousand
one hundred and thirty (2130) links, four thousand
two hundred (4200) links, seven thousand five
hundred and eighty (7580) links, nine hundred and
sixteen (916) links, and two hundred and fifty-two
(252) links; and towards the South-west by the
Rautawhiri No. 2 Block, three thousand seven hun-
dred and eight (3708) links; again towards the
North by the Kaikai Block two hundred and thirty-
five (235) links, one hundred and eighty-six (186)
links, one hundred and ninety-five (195) links, five
hundred and two (502) links, three hundred and
fifty (350) links, five hundred and five (505) links,
two hundred and four (204) links, and two hundred
and eighty-seven (287) links; and towards the West
by the last-named block two thousand seven hundred
and sixty-four (2764) links, two hundred and ninety-
one (291) links, and nine hundred and forty-three
(943) links.

TE AUKUMEROA.

All that piece of land at Whangarei, in the Dis-
trict of Kaipara, in the Provincial District of.
Auckland, known by the name of Te Aukumeroa,
containing by admeasurement three thousand and
forty-five (3045) acres, or thereabouts. Bounded
towards the North-east and East by the Awarua
River; towards the South by Te Aia Heketoro
Creek by lines one thousand five hundred and fifty
(1550) links and two thousand nine hundred and
sixty-seven (2967) links, the Mangakahia River, a
reserve four thousand seven hundred and ninety-
