Public Vaccinator appointed.

IT T is hereby notified that, under the provisions of
"The Public Health Act, 1876," His Excellency
the Governor has been pleased to appoint

JAMES STEPHEN BENYON, Esq.,

to be a Public Vaccinator, to perform gratuitous
vaccination in accordance with the provisions of the
said Act, and any regulations made or to be made
thereunder, for the District of Okarito.

Arrangements for First Elections, Borough of
Kumara.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to
appoint

JAMES WYLDE

to be Town Clerk of the Borough of Kumara, and
also Returning Officer, to hold the first election of
Mayor, Councillors, and Auditors of the said
Borough.

Also, to appoint Monday, the 20th day of August,
for the election of Mayor; and Wednesday, the 22nd
day of August, for the election of Councillors; and
Monday, the 3rd day of September, for the election
of Auditors of the said borough,

Also, to appoint Tuesday, the 28th day of August,
at noon, for the first meeting of the Council of the
said borough; and the Warden's Court at Kumara
to be the place of such meeting.

Place of Deposit for Standard Weights and Measures
changed.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased, in
exercise of the powers conferred upon him by
"The Weights and Measures Act, 1868," to direct
that the authorized copies of the Standard Weights
and Measures for the District of Christchurch shall,
for the future, be deposited in a building in Armagh
Street West, adjoining the Public Works Office,
opposite the Government Buildings in the City of
Christchurch.

Time and Place for First Meeting of Board of Con-
servators, Taradale River District.

to appoint Tuesday, the 31st day of July,
1877, at 12 noon, to be the time, and the Taradale
Hotel, Taradale, to be the place, for the first meeting
of the Board of Conservators of the Taradale District,
as constituted under "The Hawke's Bay Rivers Act,
1876."
