Act, 1867."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-fourth day of July, 1877.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by "The Maori Real Estate Manage-
ment Act, 1867," it is enacted that if any
title to or interest in any hereditaments shall accrue
to any Maoris, who or any of whom shall be infants,
lunatics, or under legal disability, it shall be lawful
for the Governor in Council, if he think fit, to order
that such hereditaments, or any part thereof or
interest therein as shall to the Governor in Council
be shown to belong to such infant, lunatic, or other
person under legal disability, shall be vested in
trustees, as the Governor in Council shall think fit:
And whereas by virtue of a Certificate of Title
bearing date the tenth day of May, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-one, the parcel of land
and hereditaments described in the Schedule hereto
was certified to belong to Hikitea Taraia and others,
of the District of Kaipara, in the Province of
Auckland, aboriginal natives of New Zealand:
And whereas the said Hikitea Taraia died intes-
tate:
And whereas at a sitting of the Native Land Court
held at Helensville, in the Provincial District of
Auckland, on the eighth day of March, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-seven, Mawete Taraia
claimed to succeed to the interest of the said Hikitea
Taraia in the parcel of land described in the said
Schedule:
And it was ordered by the said Court that Nihata
Hikitiu should succeed to the interest of the said
Hikitea Taraia in the hereditaments aforesaid :
And it is expedient that Mawete Taraia and
Wiremu Tana be appointed trustees under the said
Act on behalf of the said Nihata Hikitiu:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the colony, in exercise and in
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in
him by the said Act, doth hereby order that the
interest and share of the said Nihata Hikitiu in the
land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and
remain vested in
MAWETE TARAIA and
WIREMU TANA
as Trustees, within the meaning and for the purposes
of the said Act for the said Nihata Hikitiu during
his minority.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land at Kaipara, in the
District of Kaipara, in the Provincial District of
Auckland, and called or known by the name of
Kaipatiki, containing by admeasurement three thou-
sand four hundred and fifty-four (3454) acres, be
the same more or less. Bounded towards the North-
west by the Onekura Block three thousand four
hundred and eighty (3480) links; towards the North-
east by the Kaipara River; towards the South-east
by the Turangakawau Block one thousand six
hundred and thirty-two (1632) links, two thousand
nine hundred and six (2906) links, one thousand one
hundred and twenty-four (1124) links, two thousand
seven hundred and eighty (2780) links, and six hun-
dred and sixty seven (667) links, by Te Puatangihua
Block six thousand four hundred and twenty (6420)
links, and by lines three thousand and twelve (3012)
links, and ten thousand one hundred and twenty
(10120) links; towards the South-west nine thousand
one hundred and ten (9110) links; and towards the
North-west by the Papurona Block one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-three (1883) links, four
hundred and thirty-six (436) links, five thousand six
hundred and eighty-two (5682) links, and six thou-
sand seven hundred (6700) links, and by the Upo-
konui River. Together with the islands (6) in the
Upokonui River, adjacent to the said Kaipatiki
Block, called Te Oneroa, Takapu, Motungai, Hapu-
awai, Haowhenua, and another un-named.

the Schedule hereto be inscribed on the Court
rolls:
And whereas the said Hiha Ngarangioue is an
infant under the age of twenty-one years, and it is
expedient that Paora Kaiwhata be appointed trustee
under the said Act on behalf of the said Hiha Nga-
rangioue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the colony, in exercise and in
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in
him by the said Act, doth hereby order that the
