JOHN W. ROBINSON.
WILLIAM DOUSLIN.
I, William Douslin, Provincial Auditor, Marlborough Provincial District, declare that I have examined the account and vouchers of the Treasurer of the Provincial District for the quarter ended the 30th day of December, 1876, and have compared the same with the books, and find them correct as account and balance-sheet of transactions for the period comprised therein; and that the expenditure shown therein has been properly classified.
The debit balance of the province for the previous quarter ending the 31st October, 1876, has been ascertained from the bank account, as all the books and documents of the Provincial Treasury and Auditors were destroyed by fire on the morning of the 2nd of November, 1876.
