Notification of the alteration of the boundaries of the
Heretaunga, Papakura, Tamumu, and Oero High-
way Districts under "The (Hawke's Bay) High-
ways Act, 1871."
NORMANBY, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers conferred by the Act of
the Provincial Council of Hawke's Bay intituled
"The Highways Act, 1871," and now vested in me
by "The Abolition of Provinces Act, 1875," I, George
Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, Go-
vernor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
notify that the boundaries of the several highway
districts named in the Schedule hereto are hereby
altered, so that the boundaries of such districts shall
henceforth be those set forth in the said Schedule in
relation to the name of each district.
SCHEDULE.
HERETAUNGA HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
Starting from the mouth of the Ohiwia at its
junction with the old bed of the Ngaruroro River;
thence following up the old bed of the Ngaruroro
River to the ford at the Karamu Pa; thence follow-
ing along the west side of the road leading into the
Te Aute Road to its junction with that road; thence
following south-easterly along that road to the
eastern boundary of the Mangateretere Block West;
thence following along that boundary to the old
bed of the Ngaruroro River, and along the old bed
of the Ngaruroro River to where the Ngaruroro
runs into the Waiho Creek; thence down the pre-
sent course of the Ngaruroro River to its junction
with the old river bed at the mouth of the Ohiwia.
PAPAKURA HIGHWAY DISTRICT
Starts at Tareha's Bridge, follows along the Meanee
Road to the Tutaekuri River at the Racecourse, and
up that river to the dry channel of the Tutaekuri
at Pa Whakairo, and up that channel to the Tutae-
kuri Waimate, down that stream to its junction with
the Awakeri, up that stream to the Opou Stream,
and up that stream to its junction with the present
Ngaruroro River, thence down the present Nga-
ruroro River to the mouth of the Tutaekuri
Waimate, and up that stream to A. McHardy's
south boundary, and follows then along his boundary
fence in an easterly direction to the Te Puninga
Block, and along the boundary between that block
and the Pakowhai Block to the southern boundary of
the Papakura Block, thence along the southern
boundary of that block to the junction of the Totara
Creek with the Waitangi, and down the Waitangi to
the Waitangi Bridge, and thence along the eastern
boundary of the Whataangaanga Block to the start-
ing point at Tareha's Bridge.
TAMUMU HIGHWAY DISTRICT
Starts at the mouth of the Mangakuri River,
thence along the sea coast to Black Head at the
junction with the Eparaima District, runs along the
northern boundary of that district to the Tangitupou
Stream, and down that stream to the Tuki Tuki
River, and down that river to the mouth of the
Mangatarara Stream, and up that stream to the
boundary of the Mangakuri District, thence along
the northern boundary of the Mangakuri District to
the mouth of the Mangakuri River.
OERO HIGHWAY DISTRICT
Starts at the sea coast at the mouth of the
Mangakuri River, at the northern boundary of the
Tamumu District, follows along the northern boun-
dary of that district to the Tuki Tuki River, down
that river to the mouth of the Hawea Stream, and
up that stream to the northern boundary of Block
No. 63, Oero District, thence along that boundary
and the northern and eastern boundaries of Block
No. 68 to the northern boundary of the Te Apiti
Native Block, along that boundary to the sea coast,
and along the sea coast in a southerly direction to
the starting point at the mouth of the Mangakuri
River.

thousand eight hundred and seventy-

"The Public Health Act, 1876," His Excellency
the Governor has been pleased to appoint the under-
mentioned gentleman to be an additional Public
Vaccinator, to perform gratuitous vaccination in
accordance with the provisions of the said Act, and
any regulations made or to be made thereunder, for
the district mentioned in the Schedule hereto, and
set opposite his name.
