A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the twelfth section of "The Waste
Lands Administration Act, 1876," it is enacted
that it shall be lawful for the Governor from time
to time to make out of any waste lands of the Crown
provisional reserves for educational purposes of a
public character, in manner as in the said section is
set forth :

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the authority vested in
me by the above-named Act, and of all other powers
and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the parcel of land de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto annexed is provisionally
reserved and set apart for the educational purpose in
the said Schedule particularly described, subject to
the terms and conditions of the aforesaid twelfth
section of the above-named Act.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Wellington, containing by admeasurement 3 acres,
more or less, being Rural Section numbered three
hundred and forty-seven, of the Township of Pal-
merston, in the Manawatu District. Bounded
towards the North-east by Sections Nos. 542 and
543 400 links; towards the South-east by Section
No. 543 750 links; towards the South-west by a
public road 400 links; and towards the North-west
by Section No. 542 750 links. As a site for a
school.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl
of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and
Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the
County of York, in the Peerage of the
United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave
of New Ross, in the County of Wexford,
in the Peerage of Ireland; a Member of
Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy
Council, Knight Commander of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Governor and Com-
mander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Depen-
dencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same;
and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this second day of July, in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-seven.

Declaring "The Regulation of Local Elections Act,
1876," in force within the South Rakaia Road
Board District.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue of the power vested in me by the third
section of "The Regulation of Local Elections
Act, 1876," I, George Augustus Constantine, Marquis
of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
said Act shall come into force, in respect of all elec-
tive offices of the South Rakaia Road Board, within
the district known as the South Rakaia Road Board
District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl
of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and
Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in
the County of York, in the Peerage of
