Extension of Time for First Elections of Coun-
cillors.
IT is hereby notified, that, in exercise of the power
and authority contained in "The Counties Act,
1876," His Excellency the Governor, with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, did, by an
Order in Council bearing date the twelfth day of
January instant, and for the reasons therein particu-
larly mentioned, extend the time for the first election
of Councillors within the Ridings of the County of
Patea from the twenty-second day of December last
until the twenty-seventh day of the same month;
and in like manner did extend the first elections of
Councillors within the Ridings of the County of Cook
from the said twenty-second day of December to the
fifth day of January instant; and by the said Order
in Council, and for the reasons therein mentioned, it
was also ordered that the first election of Councillors
within the Ridings of the County of Hobson should be
extended to the fifth day of February next.
