Altering Times of Meetings of the Waste Lands Board
of the Land District of Southland.

NORMANBY, Governor.

WHEREAS by the first subsection of section
twenty-six of "The Waste Lands Adminis-
tration Act, 1876," it is provided that the Waste
Lands Boards of the respective land districts shall sit
at the Land Office in the principal town of the land
district, at certain times to be determined by the
Board and approved of by the Governor, and pub-
lished in the New Zealand Gazette :

And whereas the Waste Lands Board of the Land
District of Southland have determined to hold its
sittings on every Thursday, at 12.30 o'clock p.m.,
instead of 12 o'clock noon, as heretofore fixed, and
have requested His Excellency the Governor to
approve of such alteration :

Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise of the power and authority
vested in me in that behalf by "The Waste Lands
Administration Act, 1876," do hereby approve of the
ordinary meetings of the Waste Lands Board of the
Land District of Southland being held at the
principal Land Office, at the Town of Invercargill,
on every Thursday in each week, at 12.30 o'clock
p.m., instead of 12 o'clock noon, as heretofore.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this seventeenth day of April,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
seven.

fied that at a meeting of the Norsewood Road


ERRATA.-In New Zealand Gazette, No. 32, of 12th April, 1877, in the application of Martell and Co. to register trade marks,
line 4, for "Edward," read "Edoard." In the New Zealand Gazette dated 19th April, 1877, the name of Edward Shaw,
of Reefton, was inadvertently omitted from the Commission of the Peace; also, p. 431, in list of County Auditors, for "John
Tucker Robinson, Esq," read "Edward Terry Robinson, Esq.;" also, p. 436, in notice of alteration of sittings of the full Court
under "The Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Act, 1867," for "Thursday, 19th of May," read "Thursday, 17th of May, 1877."

notified that he has appointed

Mr. ARTHUR SHARKEY
to be a Manager of Kyeburn Diggings Cemetery,
vice Mr. Thomas Fergie, resigned.

Notice of Petition for Parawai Highway District to
be incorporated with Borough of Thames.

Colonial Secretary's Office,
Wellington, 24th April, 1877.

HIS Excellency the Governor directs it to be
notified, that unless within two months after
the publication of this notice a petition is presented
to His Excellency, signed by not less than one-third
of the burgesses of the Borough of the Thames, or a
petition signed by not less than one-third of the
resident householders of the Parawai Highway
District, praying that such district may not be
incorporated into such borough, His Excellency will,
by Proclamation, incorporate into the said borough
the said district.
