Arai Highway District constituted.

NORMANBY, Governor.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me
vested by the seventh section of "The (Auck-
land) Highways Act, 1874," and "The Abolition of
Provinces Act, 1875," I do hereby notify that from
and after the date hereof, all that portion of the Pro-
vincial District of Auckland hereunder described
shall be a district under the said Act, and that such
district shall be known by the name of the
ARAI HIGHWAY DISTRICT,
the boundaries whereof are as follows: - Commencing
at the mouth of the Waipawa River, southern side,
thence to the mouth of the Arai Creek, thence fol-
lowing the southern bank of the Arai Creek to its
junction with the Waimata Creek, thence along the
boundary of the Patutahi Block Whakaongaonga,
thence along the eastern and south-eastern bound-
aries of Whakaongaonga and Waihau Blocks to the
Huangaroa River, thence to Te Reinga, thence by
the boundary of the County of Cook to Te Paritu on
the coast, thence along the coast to its starting point.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this eighteenth day of April,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
seven.

ARAI HIGHWAY DISTRICT;
and I do hereby appoint the first meeting of rate-
payers to take place at the residence of Mr. Dun-
can Mackay, at Waimata, Te Arai, on Friday, the
eighteenth day of May proximo, at two o'clock in the
afternoon, and Mr. Duncan Mackay to be Chairman
of such meeting.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this eighteenth day of April,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
seven.

NORMANBY, Governor.

IN pursuance of the provisions of "The (Auckland)
Slaughterhouse Act, 1866," and of "The Abolition
of Provinces Act, 1875," and of all powers and
authorities by the said Acts vested in me, I, George
Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
license, for one year from the 1st day of March, 1877,
the premises now in the occupation of Walter Paul,
situated on the Panmure Road, about six miles from
Auckland, and known as Young's Slaughterhouse, as
a private slaughterhouse within the meaning of the
first above recited Act.
And I do fix the sum of fifty pounds (Β£50) as the
fee to be paid for this license, on payment of which
sum to the Receiver of Land Revenue for the Pro-
vincial District of Auckland this license shall have
effect.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, at Wellington, this eighteenth
day of April, one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-seven.

Auckland Highways Act in force within the Arai
Highway District.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me
vested by the eighth section of "The (Auckland)
Highways Act, 1874," and "The Abolition of Pro-
vinces Act, 1875," I do hereby bring "The (Auckland)
Highways Act, 1874," into operation within the

Place and Time appointed for Vaccination.

NORMANBY, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me
by "The Public Health Act, 1876," I, George
the place mentioned in the second column of the Schedule hereto as and to be the place at which the
Public Vaccinator appointed for the district mentioned in the first column of the said Schedule
shall attend for the performance of vaccination, as required by the said Act; and I do hereby give
notice that such Public Vaccinator will attend at the place aforesaid, for the purpose of perform-
ing such vaccination, on the days and at the hours set forth in the third column of the said
Schedule opposite the name of such place; and further, that at such place as last aforesaid
the Public Vaccinator will attend, for the purpose of inspecting the progress of such vaccination in the
persons so vaccinated, on the days and at the hours respectively set forth in the fourth column of the
said Schedule opposite the name of such place.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Most Honorable George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, Earl of Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and Baron Mulgrave
of Mulgrave, all in the County of York, in the Peerage of the United Kingdom;
and Baron Mulgrave of New Ross, in the County of Wexford, in the Peerage of
Ireland; a Member of Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy Council; Knight Com-
mander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor
and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; at the Government House, at
Wellington, this eighteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
seven.
