Inquiry for a Missing Person.

Colonial Secretary's Office,
Wellington, 15th March, 1877.

INQUIRIES have been made for a person named
ANNIE JENNINGS,
who emigrated to New Zealand about 1863. She is
a native of Ballina Tieraly, County Mayo, Ireland,
and is a daughter of James and Anne Jennings.
She is of medium height, has light brown hair, dark
eyes, and in 1863 was 25 years old, and unmarried.
When last heard of, in March, 1863, she was settled
in the neighbourhood of Dunedin.
Any person possessing information respecting the
above person is requested to communicate the same
to this office.

INQUIRIES have been made respecting a person
named
FRANK WILLIS STEARNS,
who left London on the 22nd January, 1876, for
New Zealand, in the "Fernglen." He is tall and
slim built, has a light complexion, light hair and
blue eyes, and is a native of Bangor, Maine, United
States of America. He is about 21 years of age,
single, and by trade a harness maker.
Any person possessing information respecting the
above-named is requested to communicate the same
to this office.

Postmaster at Lyell, in the County of Buller, and
Mr. JOHN OWENS,
Postmaster at Kaitangata, in the County of Bruce,
have been appointed Depositaries of Duties Stamps.

Notification of Vacancy of Seat in the House of Repre-
sentatives for the Electoral District of Totara.

IN compliance with the provisions of the thirteenth
section of "The Regulation of Elections Act,
1870," I hereby notify that George Henry Tribe,
a member of the House of Representatives for the
Electoral District of Totara, died on the nineteenth
day of March, 1877, and that the seat in the House
of Representatives for the said Electoral District is
vacant by reason of such death.

Dated at Wellington, the twentieth day of March,
1877.

Relating to the hunting, &c., of Game.

A PROCLAMATION

By HENRY BUNNY, Esquire, Executive Officer of the
Provincial District of Wellington.

BY virtue of the powers conferred on me, I do
hereby proclaim and appoint that all game
may be hunted, shot, taken, or killed between the
first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-seven, and the thirty-first day of July, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-seven, both
inclusive.

And further, that all Native game may be hunted,
shot, taken, or killed from the first day of April,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-seven, to
the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-seven: Provided that this
Proclamation shall not apply to that portion of the
province contained within the boundaries in the
Schedule hereto.

Given under my hand this nineteenth day of
March, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-seven.

SCHEDULE.

BOUNDED on the north by a line bearing about east
from the source of the Waikanae River to the top
of the Tararua Range, and by the Waikanae River;
on the East by the summit line of the Tararua and
Rimutaka Ranges; on the South and West by the
sea coast between Taorakira Head and the Waikanae
River.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership
hitherto existing between the undersigned,
Joseph Joseph, Walter Isaac Nathan, and James
Goldsmith, under the style of "Jacob Joseph and
Co.," has been this day dissolved so far as concerns
the said James Goldsmith, who retires therefrom.
The business will be carried on as usual by Messrs.
Joseph Joseph and Walter Isaac Nathan, under the
same style as heretofore.

Dated this 16th day of March, 1877.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership
hitherto subsisting between the undersigned,
John Reed Glanville and William John Stevens, as
Coachbuilders, at Christchurch, under the firm of
"Glanville and Stevens," has this day been dissolved
by mutual consent. All debts due to the late firm are
to be paid to the said John Reed Glanville, and all
debts owing from the late firm will be discharged by
the said John Reed Glanville. The business will
henceforth be carried on by the said John Reed
Glanville on his own account.

I, HENRY CHARLES WINE, Member of the
Royal College of Surgeons, England, Licentiate
in Midwifery, Royal College of Surgeons,
England, and Licentiate of the Society of Apothe-
caries, London, now residing at Regent Street,
Kyber Pass, Auckland, do hereby notify that it is
my intention to apply, on the 15th day of April next,
to be registered under the Medical Practitioners
Registration Act; and that I have deposited my
Diplomas in the Office of the Registrar of Births,
Deaths, and Marriages, Auckland, for inspection. 144
